FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing varies but its never complicated. Theres most generally labor and materials involved (sometimes material handling fees) but I like to keep it pretty simple. Some instances are better for the customer just to keep track of hours and bill according to the predetermined hourly rate upon completion of project plus cost of any materials. On bigger projects, I may require a 50% materials deposit and the balance due upon completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly researching new methods to help streamline my business. From programs to help wih design to power tools that increase efficiency.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get into my line of work because the pay was good initially. I joined the work force right out of high school and took to carpentry. Ive always had a knack for building things and I'm not cut out for an office job. So this was the perfect fit!
