Deceptive business practices, and not trustworthy. I ended up having to file a police report against them. They pulled their Thumbtack account after my first report which I have re-posted below ... Warning... their back! Originally posted Dec 2014: This review is for Darren Brown / John Taylor doing residential moving business under the company names Master Moovers, a.k.a. Mountain Moovers, located in Lee's Summit, MO. First, let me say, Darren and most of the crew all seemed nice, polite & courteous. Unfortunately, this ends my summary of the positives of my experience with this company. I believe they engage in deceptive business practices, notably double charging for travel. Darren Brown quoted my move at $130/hour labor for four movers and a truck, plus a $130 travel fee and some additional storage fees. I found nothing out of the ordinary about that. What he DIDN'T MENTION, nor was written anywhere, was that the travel fee and hourly rate would overlap - making it a $260 travel charge accrued before they arrived. My move involved three similar travel double-charges. Of course you don't find out until they come to you with the first invoice (and now they have your belongings). They collect cash or check at each stage of the move. Apparently they don't trust you to pay after the move is complete. The loading took much longer than estimated and the Penske truck was insufficient. This required an additional trailer (and hours) that weren't estimated. When dresser mirror hardware was lost they promised to come the next day with replacement hardware. We never saw them again. I do not recommend Master Moovers. Google "tips for hiring movers", read and follow them. I wish I had.

This is a great Company - The Review above is just another person upset about life in general . Who get;s that upset with people that move your entire Home in one Day. Could the time run over and have to pay more " Maybe " Or the time could be less and pay " Less " . Thoughtful people came to our home and gave an estimate " Estimate " not the final bill - We understood the clear English that it was an estimate. They did the move and it went a move should go , stressful , overwhelmed , but we had Helpers " Master Moovers " did a great job lifting Heavy Items down 3 flights of stairs out the front door and into a truck for 5 hours - The unload they did great work again lifting super heavy items up stairs and around corners - They did there part and did it well !
