I have had an incredible experience working with Rose. She is relatable and open and will also give her take on how she sees a situation. Aditionally, she doesn't enter a provider/client relationship with the intention of keeping you in counseling for years on end. She provides real tools for real people going through real life situations. I can't imagine making the progress I have in the last month this quickly or to my current level of satisfaction with Rose and her practical, realistic tools for enjoying life to the fullest extent.

Doris has really helped my husband and I strengthen our marriage. She pegged our personalities immediately so we were able to dive right into our issues and work on what really matters. Doris isn't afraid to speak the truth, even if it hurts. That is incredibly important in a counseling relationship. We would recommend her to anyone.

My name is Dawn, and I am an independently licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I can attest to the quality of Anne's graduate work both clinically and academically as we pursued this degree as cohorts in the same graduating class, and served together in the same clinical internship setting. Anne has had excellent training, and is competent in her understanding and use of multiple therapeutic modalities. She has a balanced approach to her work, well utilizing both empathy and counsel. She has a fun and engaging personality with a wit that promotes easy delivery of information even in challenging circumstances. She is competent with a wide range of clients from adolecence to late adulthood and collaborates with her clients to assist with a broad spectrum of life's needs and challenges. I have also known Anne as a personal friend and have seen how she has endured through many difficult life circumstances with strength and perseverance. I have seen the quality and strong ethic of her work. I have also seen her compassionate and engaging personality promote her to high levels of recognition in other work environments and fields of interest. All of this said, I would give Anne a strong recommendation. Her knowledge and skills will serve you well! Dawn G., MS, IMFT Counselor, Marriage & Family Therapist

We used Puryear Counseling to seek help on how to handle some anger issues my son has been suffering from, and to gain some guidance on how to improve our overall family communication. My son was very reluctant at first to meet with someone, but it made a WORLD of difference having Anthony come into our home. It made it a way more comfortable experience for us all. He helps give us the tools and guidance we need to better our communication with each other. We never felt judged in any way and we leave each session feeling optimistic about how we can better handle stressful situations that may come our way. We will of course continue to seek his help.

Brenda Shriner tops the list of skilled and effective counselors I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Brenda’s breadth of knowledge and many years of experience combined with her keen instincts give her a therapeutic edge, whether counseling for relationship issues or workplace challenges. I would recommend her to my own family.

The relationship between academic performance, students’ test performance and anxiety, stress and psychosocial problems has been well documented. There has been little commitment on the part of educational administrators and/or school boards to fund programs that address these factors. A substantial number of students can benefit from meditation and relaxation as stress management tools. Objectives: 1. To decrease the behavioral and psychosocial problems of the student. 2. To raise student’s academic performance. 3. To address the needs of parents and grandparents struggling with the problems of today’s youth. Harnessing Mental Power Harnessing Mental Power utilizes professional multimode and holistic approaches to treatment, patients receive treatment plans including: bio-feedback, relaxation therapy, group therapy, desensitization therapy, reorientation therapy and behavior modification, designed to meet their unique clinical needs. In addition, Inner Peace values and recognizes the importance of treating the children and in the context of the family system. With this in mind, participation in family sessions and periodic weekend long intensive family or relationship program is recommended. Mental Power is the harnessed energy, the power of your mind, utilized to help improve your health. Being able to alter your state of mind through relaxation, meditation and the principles of biofeed-back can provide you with a complementary and alternative medicine that has been called mind-body therapy. It is a form of mental healing that is designed to enable you,  in a mind-over-matter fashion, to use your thoughts and physical being to control your body. Biofeedback is a science that is based on the theories and confirmed by scientific studies, that people have the innate potential to influence with their minds many of the functions of their bodies. Mental healing through Biofeedback can be used to help treat many physical and mental health problems by learning to recognize and control physical functions and responses. Uses of the Mental Power Approach Biofeedback can be particularly useful in treating stress-related conditions, and clinical trials are evaluating it in the treatment of many other conditions, including: · Asthma · Headaches · Hot flashes Mental Health Treatment   · Reynard’s disease · Irritable bowel syndrome · Nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy · Irregular heartbeats (cardiac arrhythmias) · Chronic low back pain · Chronic constipation · High blood pressure · Incontinence · Epilepsy
