FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
That was easy, Think about it, who is always there for you when you come home, when you had a bad day, when your crabby, when your sick, when your hurt, when your child is hurt or sick and who is willing to give their lives in order to protect every member of his or her family, if your at home rite now, turn around and look I guarantee that that family member isn't to far from your feet, and the only thing they want in return is alil attention, to be loved on, a warm loving home, a family of his or her own and every once in awhile if you could manage bring them alil treat or some toys they love having their own stuff, I know when I come home with bags in hand, my dogs know that one of those bags are theirs they know they weren't forgotten.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Meet and greet a must,. every clients needs are different, I take pets outside for potty breaks, feed them, take on daily scheduled walks, playtime, if a pet is sick or hurt or if its an older pet sometimes they need medication at specific time or a specific way, I'm in no way a vet but I will do insulin shots only because I'm comfortable in doing that b/c I had a dog who developed diabetes, if pet needs to be taken for their annual vet visit, maybe a client has to go out of town and needs me, an emergency comes up and owner cant get home they call me and I will do what needs to be done. Pretty much whatever the clients needs are, we will go over what is expected from me.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Anyone can tell you what you want to hear but the ONLY way to know if your pet is being well cared for is to pay attention to your pets reaction when your pet care provider arrives, after your pet is being cared for they sense your intentions. If it was my pet, I would be sure to do a surprise pet check, just pop up, check in, go on the walk, but, if I had a bad feeling about my provider I would act, I would go as far to park my car around the corner & watch, Do Not let it go without action. If your uncomfortable, think of how your pet feels!
