FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to figure out what their needs, wants and desires are. What kind of problems they are experiencing now or in the past and I ask lots of questions to get a feel for your tastes and preferences
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
This kind of work runs in my blood. My grandfather was the first sod farmer in Missouri. I started working on a golf course managing the landscape at 15years old, I would ride my bike every morning bight and early during the summer throughout high school. After high school, I started working with my Aunt who is a degreed Horticulturist and Master Gardner. I learned a ton form her and my cousin who is also a degreed Horticulturist. Eventually, I started to essentially run a 3 man crew before parting ways. During my youth I fell in love with plants and landscapes. Over the next few years I worked alone and with another horticulturalist and master gardener before finally making the plunge to go completely solo in 2010. Since, I have only fallen deeper in love with what I do and have developed a deeper connection and understanding.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What exactly are you wanting to accomplish? What are your likes and dislikes in a landscape? What kind of plants and flowers do you like? Do you prefer organic free form style rock work or a more manufactured uniform look?
