The first time they sent a team, one guy didn’t show at all. They were able to rush another guy over, but despite that, they were not able to even lift the bookcases or the fridge and we were never told that we have to provide equipment. When we called to complain, they were happy to schedule again and did refund the money, but wouldn’t tell us specifically what we would need for the move. Very frustrating. The second set of movers, one guy again didn’t show up, but the other two were AMAZING. It was a difficult job and they figured out how to do it. They didn’t stop until the job was done. Very impressive. I did end up getting charged for the one guy who didn’t come, by it was a quick and easy phone call to fix that. I rated this company average because of the lack of clarity of what we would need to provide for the move, the lack of stability with the movers and the fact that two different guys didn’t show one two separate occasions. Be very careful if you are selecting Bellhop Movers. Quoted six hours and took almost 12 hours for a very unprofessional crew to complete my 2400 sq foot move by 2am the next day. Never wrapped any of my furniture: 2 foot dent in my stainless steel fridge, used my furniture as step stool, mud on my office furniture, threw my golf clubs on the floor and that's just a fraction of the damage they caused to my house. Didn't set up any of furniture, appliances; dumped their moving supplies in my house and front lawn. Two days later, still no resolution and manager won't call me to explain what happened when I have been extremely fair and considerate. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Whether you book online or over the phone, we'll guide you through our free reservation process. In minutes, we’ll gather all the necessary details, answer any questions you have, and provide an estimate. Once the reservation is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation e-mail so that you can verify all the details of your upcoming move. On the night before your move, you will receive an e-mail that includes a photograph of each bellhop so that you’re greeted by familiar faces the next day. Your Captain will get in touch on the morning of your move to let you know your team is on the way. Each bellhop will arrive in his or her own personal vehicle. (That’s the way they roll.) Once your team has arrived, they’ll conduct a brief walk-through, take note of any special instructions you may have, and then get to work. When the move is complete, you will receive an e-mail to confirm your service and leave a review. You'll also have the opportunity to tip your bellhops without needing cash on hand. We will charge the same card you used to schedule the move.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Our bellhops are unique because we are dedicated to recruiting ambitious, friendly, hardworking people. Prior to being accepted onto our platform, candidates must first complete an interview process to ensure they possess the personality and skills necessary to provide a phenomenal moving experience. Candidates must also undergo a full background check. In addition to movers, we also recruit professional drivers whose sole job is to safely transport your belongings from one location to the next.
