FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In this business, very few things are set in stone. Variables always happen. For example, a Windows password reset is a constant. It is a known problem that needs a solution. "My computer is slow and I think I have bugs" is not. Is it slow because of hardware? Do you have an infection, or do you have 500 infections? These things are why i always quote my base price, but tell you in my quotes what my maximum possible price is. Sometimes I require more information to give you an estimate because it's ultimately what is cost effective for YOU, not me. I don't like surprise bills, and I know you don't either. That is not how I operate and never will. The only surprise you may ever see from me is that your bill is LESS than what you thought it would be, but never more.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'm honest, foremost. So the most important thing to me is establishing a baseline for repair. If it's going to be cheaper to replace, and I make nothing, I will tell you that, because I know you will call me the next time. Some say that's not a cost-effective way to run a business, but I disagree. The trust I establish in the beginning makes you comfortable knowing that I will always be upfront and honest about realistic repair costs. And I know you will tell at least one other person that you "found somebody". That is how I built my business and even was recognized by the Desoto Times as "Best in Desoto County". Honesty and availability goes a long way. I'm a consumer too, and that's what I appreciate in service people myself.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the break/fix side of IT since 1992. I have worked numerous technology jobs, including technical support for Gateway and IBM, as well as all aspects of desktop and laptop repair over the years. I received my A+ certificate in 1997, also achieved Dell Level II technical support certification as well. I started my business in Olive Branch MS in 2008, providing mobile onsite computer repair to residents of Desoto and Shelby Counties. I have repaired thousands of PC problems since then and absolutely love my clients!
