Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We specialize in creating an environment for the dogs as stress free as possible. They are not crated, although there is an open large crate filled with toys and soft cushioning if a dog wants to go into it. The Salon is located in a residential community. Through the glass enclosed doors is a private backyard that contains an enclosed gate for our visiting critters to play in when weather permits. Parents can bring their pets in the morning and pick them up in the evening. There is no rush to have them removed from our premises. In addition, they are welcomed to hang out, sip coffee and chat. We only use organic products, give dogs treats if parents agree and lastly, my partner has 30 years experience and is an exceptional groomer. My partner and I have a passion for dogs. We both own two and I foster dogs for Animal Compassion Network. It is a privilege to be around canines. For the most part, they are the gentlest and most trusting animals and you can't help but want to make their grooming experience a positive one.

"Jamie's dog grooming shop is cute, immaculate and conveniently located. She has thought of every detail to make it functional and also less stressful for the dogs.(must be the designer in her). Together with her partner, Myrtle, she sends every doggie out looking mahhhvelous."

Max never looked handsomer. It picked up his spirits, too. Now he's coming on to all the lady dogs he meets and they're loving it!

Jamie's and Mrytle's dog grooming area is very clean and does not smell of dog. They keep the area immaculate. My dogs smelled very good for at least three weeks, I could'nt keep my nose off of them. I keep recommending them my co-workers and people I meet.

A friend recommended Groom with a View for my schnoodle. The owners, Jamie and Myrtle, were extremely friendly, and the premises immaculate. Although there was a crate, there are also fenced off areas -- both indoors and outdoors -- for dogs that don't like cages. My dog was ready when promised. Best of all, she looked great! I recommend Groom with a View to anyone who is looking for a great cut and a professional atmosphere at a great price.

Loved the convenient location! I could stay and watch or check out the gold fish pond in back. They squeezed us in on the day I called and were super friendly. I'll be going back.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

My partner, Myrtle has always been a dog groomer. I got into it because of the recession. I had been a corporate interior design, (designing offices) for over twenty five years, but was laid off shortly after moving to Asheville. I wanted a profession that I had a passion for and since I love dogs, it seemed like a perfect solution. I took a 12 week course in South Carolina to learn how to groom.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

There is a lot to know about dog grooming. Besides, the skill of providing a stylized groom per breed, one needs to know washing, drying, getting mats out, expressing anal glands, clipping nails, cleaning ears, and most importantly, being gentle and knowing when to stop if the dog shows signs of stress.
