Hugo has been great to work with. He is consistently on time and prepared. I feel that I've made great progress in learning Spanish under his tutelage.
Laura is a great teacher! She helped me with Spanish and taught my daughter French. She’s devoted, caring, and understands how to help students learn a language.
All is going well Hugo is very helpful and engaging. He is patient as a tutor and highly informative. Makes learning Spanish enjoyable.
Ms.Jami started tutoring my children (ages 3 and 4) in Spanish a little less than a year ago. During that time my son's natural interest for reading increased but decreased when working with mommy. Ms. Jami did some preliminary testing to see if he was truly ready and soon she began tutoring him in reading also. Initially, I was concerned that he would not be able to tolerate 30 mins of Spanish then 30 mins reading. However, he is able to maintain in seat behavior with a short break between subjects and the 60 min sessions go by quickly. There is an award system in place to manage behavior and fun interactive hands on activities (singing, music, tactile and visual stimuli) which sustains their attention. As an educator it evident that tasks are age appropriate and consistently tweaked to meet the needs of my children. My children are day and night in terms of personalities and learning styles. I am alway's amazed how Ms. Jami manages both of them in the same session. A sign of a great teacher and a gentle spirit. Ms. Jami presents with weekly lesson plans, carry over activities, affordable rates and she genuinely likes children. I highly recommended her, she is one of my best finds on Craigslist to date! The children love and respect her!

David is great! I had him working with my 6 yr. old to keep him on top of his Spanish that he had learned in kindergarten and I told David what I wanted to accomplish and he planned out a lesson plan and it was great! He was really patient, kind and attentive to my 6 yr old. Thank you!

I have been teaching piano for over 20 years. I would like to share my gift and passion of music with others. Let's start to make your dreams come true!
During a trip to Disney World as a teenager, I was mesmerized by all of the foreign languages that I heard and strove to master one. My mother purchased me a Spanish program, and off I went. Since then, I have gone on to master four other romance languages, and I love helping others to discover the joys of different languages and cultures. I also love to play guitar. I have been playing since 1991 and have found it to be a gift that never stops giving. I feel that one is never truly alone if he or she is capable of playing an instrument. My love of Spanish and guitar has led me to a very enjoyable career. I taught Spanish for 13 years at a preparatory academy, and I also have taught beginning guitar lessons for seven years at the academy. On the side, I am delighted to give private lessons for both the guitar and Spanish language. (LinkedIn site and resume will be gladly provided upon request.)
I provide help with Spanish homework, essays, and extra help for students in Spanish classes already. I live by Southpoint Mall and can't travel unless it is close distance from the Southpoint area (Durham). Kids are always welcome and anyone who simply wants to learn or get by another language also!

I am a professional Spanish and English tutor with years of experience teaching students of all ages, levels and settings. I currently teach mostly online in a one-on-one setting and adjust the sessions to the student's goals, needs and learning style using interactive lessons, videos, writing and conversation to support, reinforce and balance with the grammar that we cover. I am easy to reach outside of class and have a flexible schedule. I have a love for languages that is contagious, yet I am able to simplify those topics that often can give students trouble.
