Introduction: We are fortunate to have many wonderful yoga teachers in the Tampa Bay area. My work stands out because I specialize in breath-focused Vinyasa Flow classes, beginners' yoga, kids' yoga, and personalized sessions focused on the intersection of breath, movement, and mindset. I bring a sense of lightness and humor to each class, and meet my students where they are, without dogma or a competitive atmosphere. I enjoy the diversity of clients I serve. My students have ranged in age from 4 to 89 and have all levels of experience with yoga. I love the feeling I get from helping clients have positive experiences in their bodies, and the sense of relaxation, peace, and comfort in their bodies that yoga provides them.

Nicole is a wonderful instructor for my 9 year old who has been working with her for over a year. We started yoga for him to help him with his ADHD symptoms and he has made such progress in being able to focus and concentrate. He takes private lessons as well as her group classes but especially loves his one on one time with her. Some people have special gifts in being able to work with children and we love that she is one of these people and has been helpful in such a unique way, through the practice of yoga.

Nicole led a Yoga 101 class. She did a wonderful job introducing absolute beginners to the practice of yoga. She is patient and observant of the students and helps them with modifications as necessary. There were people in the class from college-age to retirees. I have since taken other classes with Nicole because of the good experience I had in her beginner's class.

She is an excellent and sensitive teacher always aware of the differing skill levels in the class. She is wonderful about focusing on safety and how not to do a pose to prevent injury. She is a lovely person who is positive and makes the class a fun experience.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer 100% refunds if a session is canceled at least 24 hours in advance. Clients who purchase three or more private or semi-private (small group) sessions get a 20% discount.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I talk with the client by phone or, if preferred email, FaceTime, or Skype, to determine their needs and goals. From there, we develop a plan together for their session(s).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm registered with the Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 200 level (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), meaning I have completed more than 230 hours of training with a YA-registered yoga school and taught for at least two years and more than 1000 hours. (I have exceeded all of these requirements, having completed 400+ hours of trainings and 2500 hours teaching.) I'm always doing continuing education, including specialty trainings in yin yoga, kids yoga, and Vedanta (yoga philosophy). My advanced training includes Sage Rountree's 40-hour Teaching Yoga to Athletes intensive and 40-hour Sequencing Yoga Classes from Welcome to Namaste intensive, both at Carolina Yoga Company.
