Dog training type
Aubrie is a very patient and kind trainer. She is a good listener and has excellent communication skills. You could not ask for someone to care more about your dog and the results you want.Oct 18, 2019
Aubrie is a very knowledgeable dog trainer who has a lot of experience. She is very patient and kind. Your dog will be in good hands!Oct 14, 2019
Aubrie was fantastic. She explained what the problem might be with my dog. She then kept to her system, letting me know what my part was in the training. I also loved her promptness. It wasn’t very long before I saw a change in the dog.Oct 17, 2019
Aubrie is extremely professional, helpful, and knowledgable. She works very hard to instill the necessary skills that give help you succeed in training your own dog. Her heavy emphasis on the relationship between my dog and I has helped me gain a better understanding of my own dog and what training works best. I'd highly recommend Aubrie to all of my friends and family because she offers personalized help tailored to both the owner and their pets.Oct 15, 2019
Aubrie intuitively knew how to bring out the best in my puppy Dakota. She was patient and understanding, able to read Dakota correctly and knew when it was time for her to progress onto a new task. Dakota likewise took an instant liking to Aubrie and was always eager to please. In addition, Aubrie also set a great example for myself and other “dog partners” to emulate, and by her encouraging me to continue to perform little daily training routines with Dakota has taught both of us how to communicate and bond successfully with each other. I am so glad Aubrie came into our lives and enriched the experience of dog training for this first time owner. I would highly recommend Aubrie!Oct 14, 2019
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Once hired, my first session with clients typically runs about a hour and a half. Therefore, the first session will cost $80. After our first meeting, the rate is $60 per hour. Since I travel across North Carolina to deliver services, any person about a 30 minute drive from my headquarters will be charged an additional $40 to cover gas.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? After initial contact via Thumbtack, I found it easiest to speak over the phone to learn more about the customer's situation and if my services match their needs. If so, then we coordinate a time. Proceeding the phone call, I will send the customer a follow-up summary that lays out the information we covered, location, cost, etc. so that the customer is prepared for our first meeting. As always, I am here to answer any questions. After our first meeting, the customer has the option to schedule a follow up. This is a great opportunity for the customer to practice what was previously covered, follow up with any questions the customer may have, receive constructive criticism, advance training, and learn new materials.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I was hired as a dog training apprentice at a retail pet store. I learned about dog behavior and fell in love with serving families to make happy, comfortable homes for all family members. From there, I was promoted from apprentice to the dog trainer of the store and worked with over 150 families during my time there. Although I have left retail, I continue exercising my passions by working with families privately.
