FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have always believed in being fair with pricing. Customers are not always aware of all the expenses involved with running a photography business and there are a lot of them. I once asked our family dentist that we used for years why his price was so much better than the new dentist we had to use closer to where we moved to. Without hesitation he said to me, "I don't have a mortgage". I am going to repeat myself and say I believe in being fair. I do not think a professional should expect to get rich off a single job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I talk with them and get to know them. I like to put them at ease. Planning for an event can be overwhelming so I try to help reduce the stress in any way I can.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 22 years as a professional photographer. In addition to having an Associates Degree in Fine Art and Photography, I apprenticed for a year alongside a professional wedding photographer before being allowed to photograph on my own. Since then, I have worked for several studios in addition to my own and photographed well over 750 weddings and events.
