FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We believe that is shouldn't cost a fortune for well thought out, good design. Everyone wants to be surrounded by a beautiful space that makes them feel comfort and joy! E&M design charges by the hour: and/or by a percentage of the project. We consider the budget and decide up front the extent of time relating to the type of project, not to exceed a maximum amount agreed by both us and our client. At that point it is the decision of our client to continue or to stop. We charge about half of what most design firms charge per hour. We give you our best and work many more hours than we actually bill. It is in our nature to provide the best design for our clients and to stay within their budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Design in all aspects is a process. We must explore and qualify the needs and desires of our clients. We ask many questions, explore and measure the space, brainstorm ideas, find out what is important, and how the space will function. We ask questions and we listen. From this information, a preliminary design is formed. Through collaboration, we work in sketches, photo shop and pictures to see the proposed area visually. Once the design is finalized, the fun begins. We oversee the project. From a small rearranging of furniture and accessories, to a complete remodel, we are there to make sure that the process is fun and runs as smoothly as possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
