I was impressed with the great reviews this company had, and they lived up to their reputation. I couldn’t figure out how to close the damper on my gas log fireplace, or how to get it lit and use it. Joe identified and removed the obstruction that prevented the damper from closing, thoroughly cleaned out the fireplace and the logs, lit the pilot light, and showed me how to use the whole system. He absolutely knew what he was doing and inspired confidence— important when you’re dealing with fire and natural gas in your home. I’m so excited to use my fireplace — and save on my heating and cooling bills now that I can close the damper!

This company was amazing! They answered all my questions and gave me a few options based on what I wanted. I had a stove insert installed in my wood burning fireplace. It still burns wood, it just does it more efficiently. It only took a couple of hours with little to no clean up or trash left. Last night was the first night I put it to use. I'm so happy with my choice of Rowan Heating to do the installation.

Paul at Suck My Vent was fantastic, and I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a chimney sweep and/or air duct cleaning - he completed both at an old house we just moved into. Paul showed up right on time, was easy to communicate with, and provided quality work at a reasonable cost. He provided great customer service, took extra care to protect our hardwoods from equipment scratching, and provided recommendations for keeping the ducts as clean as possible in the future and using our fireplace safely. In addition to cleaning, they installed a damper and chimney cap. I feel comfortable now that my fireplace is safe. Great job.
Unfortunately, I have to update this review. Rowan installed a chimney cap ($400 labor) on Nov 22, 2022 that blew off punctured my roof on Jan 5, 2023.
After several promises to reinstall the cap, he never returned. I had to repair the roof and reinstall the chimney cap. Just timeliness is not sufficient. I would not use them again nor recommend.
