- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I used to be a nanny, and got offered a fun way to *use my creativity* by planning the sons birthday. It was a Batman theme, and I rocked it! It might have been a little disorganized for the first event I planned front to back ever, but I did it, and It was awesome! I even teared up when the birthday boy received his "medal of honor" from Batman, he was so proud! Those happy moments are the ones I live for! I then just started growing and doing more and more events, and now Im still expanding from there!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Mostly weddings, adult/child birthdays, anniversaries, vow renewals, weekend getaways, and special date nights. But we have done more! (Full list is on our website!)
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you feel like you get along. There will be plenty of meetings (most of the time), lots of email exchanging and text messaging, and you really want to make sure you can get along with them. This planner is managing your big event or wedding day, and it needs to go off without a hitch! Entrust that I can make any last minute snafu fix itself and the ball keeps rolling like nothing ever happened! Flexibility is key to my job!
