As a child, I LOVED being in the kitchen with my mom as we prepared dinner for a family of 7. Food is more than just a meal to me. It’s a moment of togetherness with family, an experience if trying something new, and my way of connecting with others. As a Michigan native, I’ve been exposed to different cultural cuisine which has opened my palate and increased my curiosity of what others consume that I personally haven’t. I’ve been crowned the sous chef in my highschool restaurant and became a highschool AND college graduate on my 18th birthday. Proud graduate of Johnson and Wales (Charlotte) and Wayne County Community College (Detroit), I have 10 plus years of culinary experience from nursing home dietitian, Hershey Hotel, Marriott etc. I like to say Im culinary trained with a sweet tooth.
