I have been baking and decorating cakes since 2000 and am very proud of my loyal customer base, especially those that trust me to mail their delightful delicacies around the world to friends and family.
I am very passionate about using my talents and pride myself on using top rated ingredients, without compromising taste and quality.
My cottage bakery has been inspected and licensed by the State of NC and is run under stringent guidelines.
Our portfolio includes custom cakes, cupcakes, international desserts such as Jamaican black cake.
When I am not baking, I spend my time cooking and relaxing with my 2 granddaughters.
After 20 years of baking and decorating I finally decided to make it official and recently received my Baking and Pastry Arts Diploma from Escoffier.

Janice makes an Exceptional cake…. Upon only discovering Janice about 2 weeks before my wedding she’s didn’t hesitate. To put together exactly what I asked for. She was helpful and very tentative through the whole process. Honestly there wasn’t much talking because I showed her what I was looking for and her response was “you got it. With a little mix-up/ Hiccup on the day of (she was missing a layer). She fixed it immediately! With no problem and still got the cake finished on time! The cake tasted amazing and my guest loved it! On top of the ceremony it’s the only other thing everyone is talking about! Would I work with Janice again? Absolutely! Still looking for baker? Look no further, she is everything you need!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fondant and custom work is more expensive . 50% deposit is required to reserve the date.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We discuss flavor, no of guests, theme and date and look at pictures to set expectations. I then provide a price and require 50% deposit at least a week before the event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All 3 levels of Wilton cake decorating and I am currently working on a degree in Baking and a Pastry Arts.
