Performing beyond all expectations is just the start when you hire Jim. I asked Jim to build a very complicated custom cabinet and he came out measured relentlessly and came up with a phenomenal design. Within three days Jim built the cabinet, and stayed all day on a Saturday with me to make sure it was 100% to my liking. Of all the trades I have ever used, Jim stands head and shoulders above everyone. His work is second to none, his attention to detail is in a class by itself, but most of all, his tireless care for his customers’ needs is where he really shines. I am lucky to have found Jim and will use him as long as I have jobs to do. Hire with confidence.
Great experience. On time, organized, proactive. Raj even called the manufacturer of my furniture to be sure he had an understanding of how it was to be assembled. He will be my go-to handy man and furniture assembly person!
Mr. Evans installed a few can lights and added a chandelier to our dining room. He was great from start to finish. He was able to come 2 days after we spoke and completed the work in just a number of hours. He cleaned up after himself very well and was pretty quiet considering all the work he was doing. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. In fact we are going to have him come back to install under cabinet lights in our kitchen.
Steve did a kitchen cabinet modification for us to allow the install of a new combination oven as well as a warming drawer. Excellent work, communication, and could not be happier with the results. Highly recommend and very easy to work with.
Charles helped me with updating my 2 bathrooms. I live in North Raleigh and my wife and I have been interested in getting this done for some time now. Originally we were just going to keep it very simple (update hardware, new mirrors, etc.) but when we spoke with Charles and he presented an option that was still within our budget and included so much more, we were excited to move ahead. Not only did we end up with 2 bathrooms that we don't even recognize -in a good way- Charles also had it done in a timely manner and had everything cleaned up and all extra material ready for return before he left on the last day. You could tell Charles really knows what he is doing and is more concerned with customers being satisfied and coming back to him in the future instead of a quick fleecing like many construction companies tend to do. I highly recommend A Hammer And Nail. Just let Charles know what you are looking to do and he will do his best to get it done.
Dave helped tear down an old porch railing and then built us 8x8 columns, to our exact custom specifications. They came out beautiful! He did some repair work on our siding as well. He facilitated getting my house and shed painted using a local painter and I was very happy with the final product as well. His style may seem a bit laid back / not-hurried, but he works alone (generally) doing most jobs himself, so the work may happen slower than having a team of people crawling all over the house, but the quality was worth it. We wouldn't hesitate to use him again on our next project.
Erin did outstanding work from start to finish. I hired him to do a lot of work which included crown molding, a custom reach-in closet, custom pantry, custom master closer, paneling in the downstairs entry hall, and improve the shelves in my laundry area. Erin asked me a lot of questions about what I wanted and then crafted something so outstanding and amazing it blew my mind. I had no idea my pantry and closets could turn out as beautiful as they did. Everything is perfect and beautiful beyond words. The price he charges is extremely fair. He completed the work in three days. I then used the painters he recommended, and they took two and a half days (there was a lot to paint!). The painters did an exceptional job as well. Erin is very easy to communicate with and responds very promptly. He is friendly, organized, and professional. You just won't find a better person to do this kind of work.
We hired Millwork Design Solutions to design and build some custom wood furniture including 1) an artist's rolling work table with a hinged lid and drawers and 2) a custom hobby bench. We were extremely pleased with the results. Quality work at a very reasonable price. Moreover, they were very punctual. We currently have another date set with this firm for additional work.
This was my first contact with Raleigh Cabinetworks and the cabinet maker Mr. Walton. I had contacted multiple cabinet makers to obtain an estimate for my project. I met with Mr. Walton at his shop and immediately, I was wanting him to perform the job. From the start, he sat down with me and planned out the project. He was receptive and easy to work with. During the construction of the cabinets, he was in constant communication with me and providing updates to the progress. During construction, I wanted to alter a portion of the cabinets and Mr. Walton was gracious and adaptive to a change. When the cabinets were installed, Mr. Walton observed two items that I would have never noticed. However, his "Attention to Detail" was above and beyond what I was expecting. He could have over-looked it but, he immediately stopped and made corrections that improved the final outcome. His professionalism to the quality of his work says a lot about Mr. Walton and the relationship he has with his customers. During the installation of his cabinets, I asked for his assistance in another room. Without hesitation, he graciously performed that task. I already have plans for other projects with cabinet construction and I already know who I want to perform this project. If you are looking for quality work and at a great value, I would highly recommend Mr. Walton and his work crew to perform any and all of your cabinet needs.
I needed to have the floor of my kitchen sink cabinet replaced. In addition the clamps that held the sink in place were missing which caused the sink to fall, which caused the pipes to leak water.
Job well done!! Great customer service highly professional, and more importantly a trustworthy company. Mr. White was always professional, patient and courteous. We would with out a doubt use this company again. RR
Todd did an amazing job on our kitchen. What started as a small job (needing a window frame replaced and the window reset) turned into Todd refacing all of our cabinets, doing a custom backsplash above our sink, and creating and installing a custom wide transition piece for our floor. Todd also replaced water damaged parts of our cabinets and fixed other assorted pre-existing problems we encountered along the way. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars!! We love our kitchen and we love everything Todd did!
I have had a variety of work done my Suburban Renovations including tile floors, backsplashes, misc. flooring, electrical, lighting, door/frame installation, custom shelving, and a custom garage loft. Dave is very detail oriented and does outstanding work. He has a great eye for color & style suggestions and I trust his judgement. Finishes work like he would for his own place, no corners are ever cut. Takes great pride in what he does.
I recently sold my home and hired TEW Design Studio to stage it for the listing. It sold in a little over a month! I am building again and have already contracted Kim and Rima from TEW to complete all of the interior design specifics from cabinet design to lighting and furniture selections. They are efficient, friendly, and have a great sense of style. What an awesome team!!
Reversible Renovations built a wheelchair accessible bathroom and remodeled an adjacent room to make a bedroom for my husband, who has a traumatic brain injury and uses a wheelchair. Richard worked closely with my husband's physiotherapists to design the project. Richard also provided a very detailed quote for the job. Heather, the designer, worked closely with me to choose the tile, fixtures, cabinetry etc. A custom sink was designed to accommodate the wheelchair but it also looks beautiful. A terriffic site manager did a lot of the carpentry and coordinated the other trades workers. The quality of the work was top notch, the project came in slightly below the estimate, and was done before expected. An added plus was the way each of the workers cleaned up after themselves and took pride in quality work. They were willing to make changes as they worked on the project to accommodate issues that came up, like an existing doorway that was too narrow. I can't wait to have them back to redesign my kitchen to accommodate to my husband's needs once he reaches his highest recovery point.
Great job! Fair price. Good customer service.
Jay replaced a piece of hardy-plank for one of my customers. He took care of it in a timely fashion. Stuck with the price he quoted and did a great job.
I have been in business for about a year and will service any problem around the house as far as office furniture, doors, cabinets, lighting, heating, air and plumbing.
We offer turnkey services to homeowners, for kitchen and bath cabinets, granite, countertops, carpet, tile and more. Customers can also purchase products for do-it-yourself projects.
We do custom wood working, decks, windows, columns and mail box post, but not limited to that. We also do arch ways, crown molding and trim and anything you want, we can build it or fix it.
I have been doing trim work for over 20 years but also can do repair work and also specialize in building custom closets. If you need more space, I can work with you in planning closets, pantries, etc. I mostly do the work on-site but can do fabrication work in shop if needed.
