Hey! My name is Jamari Cortez but I go by DJ JamxliVe or just Jam for short. I am initially from New York City but moved to North Carolina to receive my bachelors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
I turned my passion for music into a hobby and began DJing my senior year of undergrad. After graduating, I continued this passion to create unique, memorable experiences for every event I am a part of. I specialize in Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggae, Soca, Afrobeats and much more however I can play anything!

Jam never fails to rise to the occassion. I have booked him for several events. So many, that I can no longer count. He's always on time, demonstrates his plethera of music knowledge and experience in every moment of his set, and knows how to read his crowd. I have never heard him replay a song throughout his DJ set and his transitions are unmatched.
I will most certainly continue to book Jam in the future!

He was our wedding DJ. He played the songs from the genres and artists we requested. He filled the room with energy and ambiance. So many people complimented us on the music. He was professional and respectful of the church fellowship hall and the type of music allowed. We would definitely recommend him to others.

0-75 attendees: $105/hr
75-150 attendees: $145/hr
150-225 attendees: $185/hr
225+ attendees: $225/hr
Weddings & Corporate Pricing
0-75 attendees: $145/hr

In addition to this, there is a $50 fee if you would like me to provide speakers and a $35 per hour of travel fee for travel.
