Whitney provided me with a much needed SAT prep class. My mother and I were worried about my taking the test, I believing a high score was the only affordable way into college and my mother concerned that I was halfway through tenth grade and had not studied anything for it. Knowing little about the SAT, she had purchased a book which I had only glanced at. Having taken Whitney's class, I am very grateful I did not use that book, for I would have walked into the SAT, thinking I was prepared but knowing little more than if I had not studied at all. Whitney has surveyed all the SAT books to find those most accurate to the real test and beneficial to the student, which he used to teach the class. His knowledge is invaluable both to taking the SAT and when applied to future studies in high school and college. He helped me understand the test, gave strategies for mastering each section, and pinpointed my weaknesses to strengthen my skills. His vocabulary cards, for example, were so effective that I memorized over five hundred words and still remember most of them today. Now if I want to learn a new word, I make the same vocabulary cards as I did while preparing for the SAT. And his three types of math cards, which I used in college algebra last semester, prevented me from making the same mistakes twice. Even after completing the class he provided me with information on Wofford College, where he attended and one of the colleges I was applying to, and wrote two recommendations for me during my college application process. Neither Whitney's methods nor his friendship can be found in a book or an online program. I cannot say enough for Whitney and have recommended him to my own friends. Though his rate may seem expensive, it is worth every cent, and I would not hesitate to pay it again if I needed his help. It is an honor to write this recommendation for Whitney, and I recommend Whitney's services with a six-star rating above anyone else or any other program in his field.
