My 8 yr old son has been taking piano lessons from Elena for the last 2 years . Before that he was taking private piano lessons in a renowned music school. I had no idea what he was doing, and was losing interest. Under Elena's guidance he has improved remarkably. Elena is very knowledgeable and teaches with patience and enthusiasm. She is great with kids, my son loves his piano lessons now. She does not follow specific piano study courses but instead tailors the lessons according to the skill level. She hand picks all the music so it suits his level and interest. Elena also hosts 2 recitals every year which are so rare for at home lessons. Thanks Elena for all your hard work. I will highly recommend her.
Dan is a wonderful voice teacher who creates a professional yet relaxed, non-judgmental atmosphere during lessons. This makes exploring your voice and learning new principles enjoyable and satisfying. Dan himself is a highly accomplished classical singer, but he’s open to working with all types of material and ways of using the voice. While working on technique, Dan never lets you forget that your job as a singer is to communicate the text of the song. I’ve worked with Dan for several years now and can recommend him without reservation.
I took piano lessons from Willie and I really enjoyed learning from him. Willie is very knowledgeable and was able to tailor the lessons to the way I learn so I could get the most out of the lesson. I feel like I have skills I am able to maintain for a lifetime to continue to enjoy playing piano.
I have been taking lessons for the past 2 months and I have seen a tremendous improvement in my voice. Not only has my technique improved, but my confidence when I sing. Tamara has been giving me the best version of my voice. The lessons are usually a hour or can be done for longer depending on the student's preferences. You pay a very reasonable amount per hour ($45 a lesson) , which is a lot cheaper than most vocal lessons.
To speak of music and Panos Messis is to speak about excellence. Since 2007 Panos has been teaching piano to my grandchildren. Panos differentiates instruction for them as their needs are quite different. He is accomplished in teaching many different styles of music. He is flexible. For example, when the older child wanted help playing popular teenage music, he incorporated that into her lessons. With Panos help she became good enough to play some difficult accompaniments in performance with her middle school chorus. Panos is truly a remarkable piano teacher and a wonderful person as well
I started taking vocal lessons with Uzma this summer, and signed up to continue with her in the fall. I am an adult and am primarily focused on songwriting and guitar. Iâve never been a strong or confident singer, and am taking voice lessons so I can sing my songs competently. There are several dimensions in which I view Uzma as a strong teacher, and it goes beyond just voice instruction. First, she doesnât just understand music; she IS music. She has a musical way of interpreting life and the world, and it has helped me not only with singing but with songwriting. She is gifted at being able to explain her approach. Second, possibly because of her course of pre-med before choosing to study music, she understands anatomy and physiology. Because of this, she can articulate the changes that need to occur in the body in order to sing, in a highly specific way. Third, but not least, her demeanor is calm, warm, and engaging; she has a delightful laugh. She balances seriousness with a sense of humor, and this makes me comfortable. In the past I have been a very reluctant singer; I felt embarrassed to sing and I was pulling my voice back into myself. But she makes me feel okay about it and is entirely positive and objective in her feedback. I am starting to sing with more confidence. The results: I am not sure I ever sang on key in my entire life. After a couple of lessons I was hitting the notes when I sang scales. And in the third or fourth lesson, I hit all the pitches in a section of a song that was beyond what I would have ever considered my range. For me this was a major feat.
Mrs. Campbell has not only been a great music teacher to my children Keaton (7) & Chloe (5) she is also been a motivator and great inspiration to them through her gifts & teachings Keaton & Chloe had a chance to experience music outside of school during a Music and Art summer camp where Mrs. Campbell was the instructor. The camp offered lessons in Violin, piano, guitar, cello, and drum. Even though it lasted only a few weeks my children who have never played these instruments before completed camp participating in a concert where Keaton played a solo on piano & Chloe played the violin with a group of other string instruments. Both of them completed the camp with the ability to read music. After about a two-month break my children took part in music lessons again where they both chose the violin Mrs. Campbell was impressed that Chloe still was able to read music. A few weeks into the lessons I became weary with the noise I was hearing at home, having a concern that my children just were not getting it I wanted to pull them out. I expressed this concern to Mrs. Campbell and she encouraged me to continue to let the children participate as she explained to me that the violin was one of the hardest instruments to learn she felt confident that both of my children had potential and that there was a rewarding future ahead of them in the world of musical arts. After continuous lessons my children along with the rest of her student got a chance to perform in a variety of events. The students blessed us with a Christmas concert at our local mall, they performed at a meet and greet function at our elementary school, as well as showcased their many talents at a multicultural night. Mrs. Campbell does not just teach and instrut, she diligently works hands-on sharing her gifts and talents as she often takes part in performing with the children. I can honestly say that through the experience & teachings of Mrs. Campbell my children have gained a great deal of confidence in themselves and are eager to be a part of any program Mrs. Campbell puts together. I Give a Great Big Orchestrated Thumbs Up to you Mrs Campbell for All you do!!!
Our 8 year old daughter has been taking piano lessons at Notasium since they opened, and with teacher/owner Preston Clarke since before that. He's a great teacher and my daughter loves going to class. Great space too!
I took voice lessons with Logan for a year. My vocal strength and quality improved noticeably during that time, and he was fun and easy to work with!
Sandra White is a lovely teacher with a warm friendly manner that really helps nervous students like myself relax and fully benefit from each lesson. She takes great care to get to know new students and their aspirations so she can help them build a repertoire of music they will love to play. Her focus on expression as well as good technical form has greatly improved my playing already which makes practicing all the more enjoyable!
I have been teaching voice privately for eight years, and I have also taught voice for two different colleges for a total of four years. I enjoy working with unique talents and developing your voice into the best one it can be.
I am a vocal instructor who has sung with the New York City Opera, Lake George Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (under the direction of James Levine), and in other performance venues.
I am a music education and vocal performance graduate from UNC Chapel Hill. I have taught voice lessons for male and female voices for four years and have recently begun teaching beginner piano students. I sing as a baritone, but I primarily sing as a countertenor, or a male mezzo-soprano which allows me to teach both males and females effectively. I have a background in singing opera, art song, musical theater, and of course Disney music and I am comfortable teaching all of those. I enjoy working with students who are eager to learn and grow as musicians. I focus on building technique and strengthening the voice while maintaining a fun atmosphere. I believe singing comes from the heart and should be fun, but I also believe it requires discipline. Reviews: "Ben Pruitt in the famous Lascia chio pianga from Rinaldo he had a fine presence, and impressively big tone, particularly for his voice type as Tom Moore. "The tempo was perfect, the English diction is as good as the German diction of the Bach works, and the verses was nicely sung by the guest counter tenor Ben Pruitt." Geoffrey Simon. For my piano students, I have been playing piano since the fourth grade and love to play. I play classically, but enjoy playing music from many genres. I believe pianists must have a foundation of technique and I would be glad to help beginners start their journey on such a beautiful instrument.
I have a helpful website. If anybody enjoys singing, my website is the best place to start. I help all different people, young and old. I love to sing, so that's why I love what I'm doing. I hope you enjoy as well. Have a nice day, and if you need any instructions, I'm available 24/7.
In addition to the prestigious institutions that I have attended, I have also had the opportunity to teach many clients. One of my greatest experiences and proudest moments was being selected to be a professor's assistant at my University, which meant I would be lecturing a course to freshman students regarding important, difficult concepts. In addition to the students I have fought before this, I was able to greatly improve my lecture and teaching ability at the university level, and regularly receive feedback from established professors at the University.
