How much are the lessons? Price of the lessons are $22.00 per 30 min lesson. Lessons are paid in advance monthly. What forms of payment are accepted? Cash or Check and Credit/Debit Cards. Where are you located? 1515 W. Cornwallis Dr. Suite G-109, Greensboro, NC 27408 What day and times are available? Monday through Friday 3:00-8:00, Saturday 3:00-5:00. What is your teaching experience? I’ve been a full time instructor for over 25 years, averaging 45+ students a week during that time. From beginner to advanced. What styles of music do you teach? Rock, Jazz, Blues, Country and Classical Do you teach Bass Guitar as well? Yes. What ages do you teach? Ages 7 and up. Due to the physical element involved in playing guitar, I recommend a child be at least 7 years old to start lessons. What do I need to bring? Just your guitar and a pick, if you have an electric guitar the amp is provided. Do you offer online lessons? Yes, schedule permitting, via Skype and FaceTime
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Beginning Guitar Student: For someone just starting out, we’ll work on building a solid foundation for playing the guitar. Examples: exercises for building up finger strength and coordination, basic chords, scales and reading tablature. Also an introduction to music theory. We’ll also work on creating good habits and practice discipline. Intermediate/Advanced Guitarist: After evaluating, I’ll formulate a lesson plan to build on and improve the student’s skill level. Which includes: Music theory, technique, writing and composition. Also, Advanced soloing and the techniques involved, including improvisation.
