FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am willing to work with you to ensure we can both walk away with a good business experience! I always consult my client before sending a quote to confirm our joint agreement on the amount. I typically accept payment (via PayPal) before the project begins but if that is too inconvenient for you, I can accept half the quoted amount beforehand and the other half after the project reaches completion. My main motivation for working as a professional is to provide quality service at a reasonable rate. (If you need a project completed unusually fast, I only ask a 15$ rush fee.)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If we work together, I will ask you if you prefer a preliminary phone call for additional details. If you'd prefer to get started immediately, I'll happily send you the link to my personal email address. Then, I'll request you forward all relevant materials with a brief description of the project. (If your content includes sensitive information such as a business plan, I have no problem signing a NDA.) Throughout the process, I am highly communicative with my customers to ensure they are getting exactly what they are looking for. This may involve additional phone calls or brief email interchanges. I frequently send drafts as I'm working so you can see how I'm approaching the task!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 3 years of college study as a Creative Writing major at the University of North Carolina: Asheville and also as a English Lit/New Media Design major at the University of North Carolina: Greensboro. However, I have over 5 years of combined experience in writing workshops, extracurricular classes, and the successful completion of several freelancing projects. Within that span of time, I have also tutored students in English literature, grammar, essay and creative writing.
