Herby painted my cabinets and walls in kitchen recently. And I couldn’t have been more happier with my results! I actually found him through another platform so he requested a review through here which is no problem at all!
They were an awful brown stain and he painted them pretty! They never peeled or anything. He was always on time and prompt and completed the job much faster then I expected.

Herbert did amazing job at painting our condo for us. It was hard finding someone that we can trust since we live so far away. But he was great at communicating with us at every point and did an amazing painting job, was very careful with our furniture and the place turned out gorgeous!!

Initially the owners were extremely knowledgeable, responsive and flexible. They knew I had tight timing were able to fit me in, sending picture updates constantly to keep me informed on the progress.
However once I actually made it to the property to inspect it, I was able to see where they cut corners in certain places, even forgetting to fully paint around an outlet. In addition, they painted the doors white which ended up being an extra charge after the initial contract was signed. They look absolutely horrible. They are visibly streaky with some instances where you can still see the brown, and on one door they didn’t bother to paint the top or bottom.
I made three attempts over the course of a week to contact the owners, twice via text on their company number and sent pictures, and I tried a third time directly through Thumbtack and got no response. Now I am left to spend more money to fix what they didn’t do correctly, which is unfortunate.

Well, obviously, there’s 2 sides to every story, and this customer is definitely getting mixed up with another company.
First of all, we have no idea what she is talking about because we never received any phone calls from her or texts about any corrections that needed to be made and second of all we were only HIRED to paint her kitchen cabinets and ceiling. Originally she wanted the walls and trim done too but she ended up hiring another company for those 2 areas because she was on a very tight budget and our quote was too high. So we completed that job successfully and they did a walk through and loved and sent the final payment on August 3rd. She left a a perfect review for out company on August 11 and we have proof...
" The team did an absolutely phenomenal job and completely transformed my place with paint. The owners are extremely knowledgeable, responsive and flexible. They knew I had tight timing, and went above and beyond to fit me in and absolutely executed with excellence, sending picture updates constantly to keep me informed on the progress. I couldn't be happier with the results and would definitely use them again."
Almost a month later as of today, she leaves another review stating issues she had but this was from the other company she hired to fit in her budget and evidently they did not do a good job for her. We have no idea who these people are either!
I have texted her and told her that she has us mixed up with another company but she was very dogmatic yet confused.
I have contacted Thumbtack and I'm hoping they can correct this-but they have stated so far they cannot delete reviews on their end or correct them if there was a mistake unless it's criminally related 😫.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are very negotiable to a reasonable extent.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First , we reach out to the customer, and if we’re not successful will send a text. Next day, we will call again and follow up. Once we have made a connection, we will prospect our company, send them a quote and also a list of references to verify our identity and make sure that we are legit. If custom text likes our quote, from there we will create a contract and work from there with the customer directly.

My wife and I both are licensed in cosmetic interior remodeling.
