I have worked with many private trainers in charlotte along with going to the gyms and hiring their trainers but never been satisfied with the results. Mike is a great trainer and is available to me beyond our training sessions which I believe was the key to getting the results I wanted. My other trainers were only there for me for that session but Mike would answer my text throughout the day. He helped me learn about what foods to eat and not eat. I recommend Mike to anyone who is wanting to hiring a trainer that wants serious results. At first it was intimidating for me because he is a bodybuilder but I realized after the first session he was training me for what I wanted. I have reached my goals but Mike has pushed me to want to go even further and I will continue to use him into 2016.

I have trained with Eric and had an amazing experience! He is very good at motivating you and pushing for more. I'll admit... it's not easy but worth the pain and gain! I highly recommend Eric's professional training services to someone who is willing to work hard! "Keep your abs tight," is his favorite phrase and hard to do! Kudos to Eric!!!

Sherry is extremely knowledgeable & experienced when it comes to fitness & nutrition. I met with her this morning, she gave me a list of foods to eat to help with my weight loss & great advice. After that we trained and she wanted to analyze me and find out what my strengths and weaknesses were so that I do not hurt myself. The training session went great. I am looking forward to our next session and watching my body transform. Not only is she a great trainer but she has a warming and wonderful personality and makes you feel very welcomed, almost like you've known each other forever. I like to hire people that I genuinely like. Give her a shot, you won't be disappointed.

I have been visiting Edge for personal training/ group classes for about the last 6 months. I highly recommend the gym for those looking to train with individualized support and attention. The gym has clients that have been training with the owner, Daniel, over the years, giving it a more personal feel. Conveniently located right outside of Uptown, Edge Fitness has an open floor plan (think former warehouse space), with all the equipment neatly laid out (weights, cardio, boxing etc). Classes and personal training sessions push you, regardless of your fitness level. Tip: Purchasing training classes also gives you access to gym facilities outside of your training sessions.

I've been going to Sydney for a few weeks now, in preparation for my upcoming wedding in September. I absolutely love my sessions with her. I was very nervous at first, as I had never done HIIT before. I knew we would get along after our consultation, and she made me feel so comfortable and welcome for where I was at physically. She pushes me to work hard, she encourages me to do my best, but most of all, she makes sure that we have FUN. From her awesome music, to her great laugh, I absolutely love everything about training with Sydney. I'm looking forward to where this year of training takes me, and with her accountability and training, I know the results will be great! Just try one session, you won't regret it!

Working with Joel has been great! I was skeptical at first about using an online trainer in place of a live trainer. I didn’t think I would get personalized recommendations, and I was very worrried about the discipline/accountability that comes along with training with someone in-person. The training program that Joel assembled for me was tailored almost perfectly to my needs at this stage, and he was quick to update the 2 exercises that I wasn’t quite ready for. I have also been surprised by my motivation to work out each day, knowing that Joel is following along with my progress. Overall, this is a convenient, cost-effective way to get personalized training. You determine when and where you work out, but with guidance from a professional a that knows how to help you reach your goals. Definitely better than a one-size fits all app, and more affordable and convenient than in-person training. I highly recommend giving it a shot.

GREAT personal trainer! He knows what he is doing but doesn’t make everything too serious, you’ll laugh a lot throughout your sessions. I have only been to training sessions for less than a month but can see (and feel) results. Mason really looks out for the best in his clients.

Short Review: A+ Awesome, Wedding Season Has Been Great I've lost 27 pounds since I began working out with Candice, and even though my initial goal coming into this was weight loss, no bridesmaid dress size or number on a scale compares to how great I physically feel. I'm stronger and healthier and less stressed now than I've been in the majority of my adult life, and it's a direct result of Candice's kickass workouts, nutritional guidance, and unwavering enthusiasm. The awesomeness of my experience cannot be overstated. 10/10 would recommend. Long Review: All the Praise GET READY I'd like to emphasize first how knowledgeable and current Candice is on all facets of fitness styles, nutrition, and wellness. The breadth of her expertise is substantiated and well-informed and 100% a defining factor in the results I've seen. I continuously trust (and am in awe of, honestly) her insight, and I have no doubt the rest of her clients would agree. Her personal training sessions are challenging and goal-oriented and Candice is constantly adjusting for best results. I've never done the same workout twice, and I look forward to sessions because I know it's going to be different every time. (Bonus: great music.) She’s extremely attentive to what is or isn’t working for you and keeps organized, in-depth notes on everything from changes in weights/counts/sets, to daily calorie/nutrition intake, to muscle/fat mass records. Being able to look back and see exactly where I was and what I was doing at any point throughout the process and compare it to where I am now is as motivating as it is satisfying. With all that said, though—the standout component that makes training with Candice so incomparable to others is the time, effort, and resources she wants to invest in you. You can see it in every tailored workout she puts together for you, every fitness/nutrition goal breakdown she writes up for you, and every time she goes above and beyond to provide extra insight on any wellness question, concern, or interest you might have—even when they’re not directly diet or exercise-related. I absently mentioned in a workout once how my sleeping schedule was terrible and probably stress-related, and that same day I received an email from her with lists of sleep/meditation apps, links to articles on sleeping patterns and the benefits of bedtime routines, and plenty of suggestions from personal experience to try out. She's done the same with recipes, protein sources, reverse dieting, skin care, and workouts outside of our sessions (I asked about half-marathon training once and she was happy to look into it for me, even when we both knew I hated running and probably wasn’t going to do it). And all *in addition* to the resources she already gives as part of her program. I came for the weight loss, but I stayed because Candice puts in the effort. She pays attention. She genuinely cares about your overall health and success, and she genuinely wants you to feel good about yourself. I couldn't recommend her more.

I met Harry about 3 years ago when I was diligently searching for a personal trainer. I wanted a trainer that would always listen to my goals, inspire and motivate me. I wanted a trainer that was passionate, committed, and dedicated to their clients and helping them to achieve their goals. Harry is all of them. He introduced me to healthier eating which helped me to focus on my goals. Being consistent with great quality training sessions and nutritional plans/healthier eating, I quickly saw results! Training with Erik has given me results in so many different aspects, beyond my expectations. John is a fantastic trainer. He is so knowledgeable about the body and it’s abilities and responsiveness. I had very specific goals and his training program for me was spot on. He was also extremely helpful whenever I had any injuries from my other activities. His training sessions were always fresh and interesting and challenged my muscles so my development wouldn’t plateau. He made the time fly by and the results were great! Highly recommended!

I never considered personal training until I met Darnyl through one of his other clients. His positive attitude for, and knowledge of fitness is contagious and after only 2 months of training with Darnyl I can honestly say I am in the best shape I have been in years, and my motivation to get stronger and better than the week before has never been greater.
