Introduction: I get to know your babies before I come to take care of them, to make them more comfortable with me. I always try my best to make them as comfortable as they would be with their owners. For example, if they need to sleep in bed with me, they can. I get down on the floor if it makes them less nervous, or whatever it takes. I also have training in how to handle aggressive animals, or pets with medical conditions. I love spending time with animals, and seeing their little tails wag (or hear purrs). It always brightens my day! :)

Sam is by far the best pet sitter I have ever had. We have five dogs and a cat and we have left them with her for weekend get aways and vacations. One of our dogs is a chihuaha rescue and he has never done well with our past sitters. He would hide the entire weekend. Not only did he fall in love with Sam she was kind enough to send us pictures with him curled up on her lap and sleeping with him. Having a pet sitter is the best situation for both the pets and the owner. Having a pet sitter like Sam allows you to go away with peace of mind that your pets are well cared for. An added perk is that Sam is a vet tech so she is very knowledgeable on pet health and has no problem giving pets there meds.

We have 3 dogs who are absolutely our babies and we are extremely careful about leaving them with anyone. One of them in particular is special needs and ever since we realized her condition, we thought we could only board her at the vet. We love our vet, but boarding can be so stressful for our babies, not to mention having to drop off and pick up at certain times. Sam has always been great with our dogs at the vet, so we were very excited to learn that she does in-home pet sitting. She understands how to handle our special needs baby, as well as our other two, and we feel comfortable knowing that she will respond appropriately to a veterinary emergency if needed. Sam texts us with updates and pictures so we don't worry. And it's so nice to have our dogs already home to greet us when we return. We definitely recommend Sam to anyone in need of pet sitting services!

We first met Sam through our veterinarian in NC . We would never board our dogs at a "kennel like" facility and were relieved that she would stay at our house allowing the dogs to stay at in their familiar surroundings. She set up an appointment to met our dogs prior to us being away and asked all the correct questions and interacted and connected with with them immediately. During our time away we received pictures and updates on the dogs on a regular basis. She even stopped by during her lunch break to check on them . In the evening ,Sam spent time with them , played with them and they even slept in the bed at night. This makes us feel extremely comfortable and we know not only is she professionally trained but truely cares about animals! We highly recommend her !

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Individual Visits: $15/visit if you are located close to me. Up to $30/visit, depending on location. In-house (overnight) sitting: $50/visit if food & beverages are provided. $60/visit if I am responsible for bringing my own. Up to $70/visit depending on location.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start with a "get to know you visit" - -I let your pet get familiar with me and my partner. -learn your pet's routine -get to know you -discuss expectations and payment
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a veterinary technician since August of 2011. My partner, Mike, has been learning some of the skills I have to assist me in pet sitting jobs.
