First off, if you're looking around for a photographer to get you some portrait/dating app pictures (guy here), you might know the annoyance of everyone doing wedding photos in NC. Babies there, couples here. Weddings everywhere. Robert, although he does wedding photos, is an absolute genius when it comes to portrait and dating photos. You've found your match if you're looking for those. I was contacting professional, high-level photo studios trying to get some high-quality pics, but usually was met with my e-mails/calls being ignored. And it wasn't due to me being a little cheapskate like they like to do on the Internet. I was ready to pay full price. Not with Robert. I expected to hear back within a couple days, but instead I woke up the next day to a missed message from Rob asking to call him when I got the chance. I did so, and I was surprised with the enthusiasm and the words "I know exactly what you need." Cue a couple days until the photoshoot; and I have to mention, Rob is extremely easy to work with and happy to do so (don't take this as a sign to be annoying - be easy to work with and happy to do so as well, that's the basics of manners!). With a bit of planning, he was willing to drive down to where I live, brought in extremely high quality equipment and was ready to snap some incredible photos. From the get-go, Rob was extremely friendly and it was like talking to an old friend you didn't see for a couple years but it was as if everything was as it was before. We planned the things at my place which we made our base of operations. Make sure to prepare your wardrobe, and items you think you might need - wash them, iron them, all the good stuff. But also be ready to take out some items you didn't expect for a quick iron, because Rob has an excellent taste in both men's and women's fashion and will offer his expert advice right there on the spot. Most wouldn't go so far as to do that. Why? Because Rob works on one principle - getting you the results you want. Come in with a plan - what you want, what you want to accomplish, and then be ready to let Rob guide you, because he's the one who will get you to the finish line. The actual photographing part was incredibly fast. We blitzed through our 3 hour photoshoot - not only was Rob a wellspring of ideas and inspiration, you can see the enthusiasm Rob has for photography and even more importantly - in helping you get your goal. And surprisingly, it was fun. I'm not a photogenic person, and yet it felt natural, easy, and often times funny. If you're worried about being seen in public with a photographer and that is keeping you from hiring Rob, seriously, don't be. You won't even think about that, it's literally like being out with a friend (but who's a master photographer!) The photos came out incredible, a lot better than any photo studio I've seen (and I did a LOT of research) and Rob went out of his way to get them done mega fast and pick out the best ones by asking a vast sample of people (including the ones you're trying to attract, hint-hint - very important). He absolutely overdelivered on both time and quality, and you can bet I'm reaping the rewards from the investment I made ten-fold. He didn't have to go that hard, but he did. Why? Cuz' Rob.

I'd hire Kelley Bennett again in a heartbeat! She did an outstanding job photographing my husband's 40th birthday party, which had about 80 guests and ran over four hours. The gig was initially for two hours, but I came prepared to pay for a longer session. I'm so glad I did. The pictures turned out fantastic! She captured really great shots. It was such a relief to know that she had it covered so I and our guests could just enjoy ourselves. Kelley gave me a great rate. She was easy to communicate with beforehand and flexible about extending the shoot. A professional, Kelley did a wonderful job working in low-light, indoors and outside, capturing clear images, nice bokeh and excellent white balance, taking candid shots and portraits, nice framing, and capturing the action - dancing, laughing, cheersing. I got the image files within a couple days via Dropbox. How lucky am I to have posted on Thumbtack less than 48 hours before the party to accept the first response within minutes and totally win? Very lucky!
