FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not currently offer any discounts, aside from limited time promotions that can be found as they are available on my Facebook page and sometimes website. Programs are often customized per owner and their dog, to make sure you're getting exactly what you need. Often we will start with an in person consultation (although not required), and then I will send you a few program options to go over and review. From there, we make any changes that are necessary before committing to a training & wellness plan.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I don't have a black and white process for anyone, but I ALWAYS start with getting to know you, your dog, and what you're going through so that we can determine if we are a good fit for each other. I want to know that you will walk away happier with your dogs behavior and the experience that you had, and to make sure that happens, it's important to pair owners with the right program for them. A training consultation and behavior evaluation are the first steps, outside of a quick discovery phone call, that will get us started.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the field professionally for 7 years, and handling dogs outside of that for about 2 more years. I started with rescue, shelter, and fostering dogs, then moved into doing behavior evaluations for shelters. I then worked for and with several other industry professionals, doing things from aggression and behavior modification, to general dog daycare and basic obedience. I've worked for some great professionals, and some who showed me what not to do. I continue to attend dog training and behavior workshops (TBTE, among others), dog training conferences (IACP), and work with owners, local pet businesses, and rescues hands on every day.
