Monique and Special Occasions by Design brought my wedding to the next level! She took my vision and made it reality. I originally just expected to hire her for a balloon arch. Then she asked if I needed help with anything else. I sure did! I gave her my colors, told her what I liked and didn't like, and my budget. From there, she kept me updated with new ideas and how the decorations were coming along. She is very responsive, and you can tell she takes pride in her work. My guests were stunned by how she turned a plain room into a cohesive elegant party. With balloon arch, sweet heart table decor, linens /chair covers/ decor for guest tables, cake table decor and back drop. I cannot recommend them enough! Do yourself a favor and hire them! I know I will again!

I was organizing my sisters baby shower and wanted a really pretty balloon display for picture purposes and that’s exactly what I got! Monique was super helpful in making sure the colors I wanted for the design were correct. The display itself was absolutely gorgeous. Everyone loved it and it matched the theme of the shower as well.
Set up was super efficient, so was the clean up process. Monique was amazing.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! I cannot recommend Special Occasions by Design highly enough! She was very communicative throughout the booking process and during the time leading up to my event, making sure every detail was perfect! She worked with me to create a balloon arch that fit the theme of the event (Winnie the Pooh baby shower) and even showed up with extra HANDMADE touches, such as cardboard cutouts of the Pooh characters. She showed up on time and worked diligently to create the most amazing balloon arch. Our family and all of our guests were in awe and we received countless compliments. And the kicker is, the balloons lasted almost the entire 4 hours in 96 degree heat! That’s unheard of. If you’re wanted to level up your next event, don’t hesitate - give your business to Special Occasions by Design. Her professionalism, punctuality, and work were excellent, but she goes above and beyond to ensure your event is both special and a success! Thank you again!!

We were in a bind and needed to find a new Event Planner very quickly. Special occasions came through for us and we were so blessed to have their services. They matched our aesthetics for design. They were punctual and on time with the planning and coordinating. Her team was Superior, and they worked diligently to map out our desires and expectations. And the final product that they produce for us was extraordinary. They went above and beyond our expectations for what we were looking for. It was amazing. All of our guests were blown away by the appearance of, what they thought was just going to be a simple baby shower. They received the most lavish layout that the could imagine. My daughter was overwhelmed at that detail to her idea of a simple color palette for a train idea turn out to be. It was exquisite and we will differently be using the Special Occasions team for other events. My daughter so D her husband want to thank you for everything that you did for them and our new arrival baby Brsndon its a boy.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing depends on the theme and budget. However, my pricing generally starts at $150 for setup per hr for setup with a $500 minimum. Decor prices start at $800 for 24 guests. Balloons, treats and backdrops can be added for an additional fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I request a theme and any picture ideas that the customer would like to utilize. I then sketch a plan and move on from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 10 years of experience but no formal training.
