I am a musician who has been performing professionally and teaching lessons since the mid 90's. I teach and play most styles whether it's rock, country, bluegrass, metal, funk, and more!
I teach at a trusted and well-known music store downtown that is safe and secure. There is a waiting room with WIFI for your convenience. We are also close to many shops, restaurants and coffee houses.

Shane is a great teacher for beginners (me!) and started with the basics of strings, tuning and chords. He was able to assess quickly what I should start with to practice on and sent me off after my first lesson with several sheets to practice with on my own time. I'm a visual learner and he would show me the chords on his guitar so that I could mimic and would play along with me so that I could get the beat.
I left my first lesson very excited to get home and practice and am looking forward to continuing on and learning even more!

Shane was super nice and super easy to talk to during our lesson. He made sure he knew what I wanted to learn before I came in so we could focus on those things once I came in. Really awesome guy and I'll definitely be going to him for lessons from now on!

My 14 year old daughter has worked with Shane for a little over a year. Her play has improved immensely, but even more noticeable is her choice in music, her selection has expanded and I truly like what she's playing. It get's tiring, listening to kiddie pop, and that stopped almost immediately. He has great patience, and is truly in sync with his students.
I, and my daughter, highly recommend Shane as a teacher.

Shane was a delight to meet and my daughter enjoyed working with him immensely. He was very professional and went right to teaching her, with great instruction and guidance. He knows where to lead her and how to get her there...and that is hard to find nowadays. We are very thankful to have found him!
