What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depending on what the client wants - depends what I charge, since I’m still learning, I definitely do discounts with certain people.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Getting to not only know them but their skin type, facial structure and preferred style. I really do like to analyze the persons face beforehand, try to see any asymmetries and map out how I’d go about the look. I like to go big on skincare as it’s the base of any sort of makeup. Good skin equals a flawless base.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mainly just trail and error. Having friends over, or practicing on family members or schoolmates. I’d see what would work and fix any issues I had in the future. You are your best teacher. Watching and analyzing videos and breaking them down also helped me tremendously.
