Introduction: Everyone is different. We all have specific goals and needs. A workout plan that is suitable for one client may not be suitable for another. I feel my best asset as a trainer is my ability to adapt my workouts and training style to fit the individual with whom I am working. I also understand the weight loss struggle first hand. I’ve had a wonderful experience with APTS and continue to with the trainers in this studio. My personal trainer is Lee who is great to work with. Lee is very personable and professional. He is a very practical coach who will readily adjust the sets to ensure form takes precedence over reps which helps decrease injury rate and increase results, and knows how to tailor specific needs to routines to maximize results. From a facility perspective, they are top notch. They have everything one needs for starting, continuing or resuming personal fitness goals and take extreme care to sanitize equipment for repeated and safe use by its members. It’s a pleasure to review and recommend Lee and APTS overall !

I have been working with Lee for almost a year and will continue work with him. In the past year, I have enjoyed each and every session. Lee mixed up cardio and strength work out together. There is something new and challenging in each session. I have to say for twice a week in a year period it is not very easy to do. Lee keeps your interest up but challenge you to a new level either in your endurance or strength. I definitely feel stronger and more fit with his instruction and training. Lee is also super attentive and caring for each his client. If you look for a personal trainer, I definitely recommend to give Lee an opportunity.

Hiring Lee as my Personal trainer was one of the best decisions I made so far. I have been working with him for about two months now and I must say that these sessions are awesome and fun. It is too early to notice signification weight changes yet but, i definitely lost inches, feel more toned and above everything feel healthier and stronger. Lee is well informed, friendly, professional, encourages you to do better and makes sure you are motivated enough. The workout routine keeps changing every session which is good. I recommended him to my family and now we all do a group session which is fun as well. I would definitely recommend him to anybody looking for a personal trainer in the triangle area.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I like to first have a consultation with a new client. This allows me to hear more about your specific needs. Every client is different so every training program should be different. Finding out specific goals and possible physical limitations is vital to the process. I also offer every new client 3 sessions at introductory rate. This allows me time to assess you, and allows you time to decide if you feel I'm going to be a good fit for you.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Yes. My personal training certification requires 20 hours of continuing education every 2 years to remain certified. I am always reading material that helps me stay updated on the latest trends in fitness.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I lost over 50 pounds when I was in my late 20s. I wasn't completely happy with my current occupation, and I found myself being intrigued watching personal trainers working with their clients at the gym. I literally just decided one day "I think I'm going to become a personal trainer." The rest is history.
