Laura is a great personal trainer! She really focuses on me and doesn't come to our sessions with a pre-packaged set of exercises that may or may not work for me. She's extremely flexible with scheduling appointments and genuinely cares about her clients. I would highly recommend to anyone considering personal training in the Raleigh area. Laura is the best! She understands your limits physically and while her workouts are super challenging, she never pushes you beyond your physical capability. She is encouraging and really easy to talk to- I consider her a friend now! I definitely saw results. I worked with her once a week but she gave me guidance on how to workout on my own and even nutritional advice to maximize my results. For me, most of my training was circuit training. She gave me exercises that worked every muscle group for a total body workout. She came to my gym right by my house and was really flexible with my availability and would work to fit her schedule around mine. I highly recommend her to anyone in the Raleigh area looking for a personal trainer. I used to exercise on a regular basis and absolutely loved doing it as often as possible. But due to different circumstances that occurred I gradually began to get further away from doing much of anything. I wanted to get back on track and began working with Laura doing personal training one on one. At our first meeting I immediately felt comfortable in her presence. She is very warm and friendly and personable to work with. We did a cardio warm-up and then went through a series of strength training exercises using ropes, TRX, an exercise ball, free weights, and several other types of equipment. I did the routine twice each session. Laura is very thorough at explaining how to do each exercise and will let you practice it until you feel like you have mastered it. She knows how to gear the correct equipment to your needs and will switch it up accordingly. She is very professional yet makes your workout a fun experience. I look forward to my appointment each week and I feel so good after I finish. It improves my mood so much! She has different types of equipment that I was introduced to and hadn't had the opportunity to try before. And another plus that I love more than anything is being outside!!! I have been working with Laura for about two months now. I cannot think of anything that would improve my experience except for me to go more often. MegJan 14, 2013
Laura Swann is an amazing trainer! She's so positive, friendly, and encouraging. I've worked with her once a week for three years and she's taught me so much about fitness - and she's become my friend. She always keeps me motivated for the next workout. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?My service includes driving to your home with fun workout gadgets for an hour long workout. You need nothing but a bottle of water and an exercise mat. You may pay in advance or on the day of the workout. It's up to you. I try to make it as easy as possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I will give clients a questionnaire so that I can learn a little more about their exercise history, fitness goals, and any possible limitations that they may have. After that I can create a customized workout plan. The best training plan is: 1) Fits with your schedule 2) You see results 3) Safe
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a two-time All-American runner from NC State. I know what its like to work hard to get results. Let me guide you to success. I got my personal training license because I love to help people be the fit individuals that they can be. I enjoy strength training, playing tennis, cycling, and walking/running. My goal is for you to live an active lifestyle as well.
