Mrs. Stark got us into the classroom up and moving, including activities like yoga and marches that we would do frequently, such that our learning of Spanish topics could be remembered through motion. These activities made information stick far better than simple memorization activities like flash cards or large vocab quizzes. Overall, her energy is very high which encourages similar enthusiasm out of her students.
Maida is teaching me Spanish, and I am very satisfied with her methods. She has recommended a book that I use and she leads me through the lessons and adds to them with explanations of daily usage and pronunciation. It is just a little difficult to understand her English sometimes because of her accent, though.
Dalton has been tutoring our son in both Math and Spanish. What a difference Dalton has made! Dalton is able to teach the topic in a way that our son easily understands! Grades have never been higher! The most important part is that our son feels successful and confident!
I’ve been receiving lessons from Luke for 6 months now (and still going!), and would highly recommend him. He’s professional, experienced, and flexible in his teaching style. Although our lessons have been conversationally structured (per my request), I’ve also enjoyed his strong command of Spanish grammar, and have found it really useful in learning Spanish as a beginner.
Great Act tutor! I've learned so much and feel very good about thanking the ACT again.

Ms.Jami started tutoring my children (ages 3 and 4) in Spanish a little less than a year ago. During that time my son's natural interest for reading increased but decreased when working with mommy. Ms. Jami did some preliminary testing to see if he was truly ready and soon she began tutoring him in reading also. Initially, I was concerned that he would not be able to tolerate 30 mins of Spanish then 30 mins reading. However, he is able to maintain in seat behavior with a short break between subjects and the 60 min sessions go by quickly. There is an award system in place to manage behavior and fun interactive hands on activities (singing, music, tactile and visual stimuli) which sustains their attention. As an educator it evident that tasks are age appropriate and consistently tweaked to meet the needs of my children. My children are day and night in terms of personalities and learning styles. I am alway's amazed how Ms. Jami manages both of them in the same session. A sign of a great teacher and a gentle spirit. Ms. Jami presents with weekly lesson plans, carry over activities, affordable rates and she genuinely likes children. I highly recommended her, she is one of my best finds on Craigslist to date! The children love and respect her!
Andy is an excellent tutor and has a great command of Spanish. He has been very dependable, on time, flexible and accommodating. He provides instructional and reference materials. He is a pleasure to work with and makes learning Spanish fun!
We will see if we can get our time schedules together to move forward with a great reading tudor for the summer! Nice lady!
Club Z was exactly what we were looking for our son. Evan just graduated high school and is preparing to go to college this fall. He needed help with improving upon his writing skills so that he would be well prepared to handle the writing challenges in college. Becky was Evan's tutor and she did an excellent job in helping him achieve that goal. His writing skills have greatly improved as well as his confidence in his abilities. I would highly recommend Club Z for anyone looking for tutoring. Cecelia Mills, Durham N.C.

I believe my work stands out from many others' work because I'm extremely passionate about helping all my students not only improve but ultimately reaching their full potential. I constantly encourage and push them to achieve levels they thought unattainable before they met me, and make sure they enjoy our interactions and get concrete results out of it.
I provide help with Spanish homework, essays, and extra help for students in Spanish classes already. I live by Southpoint Mall and can't travel unless it is close distance from the Southpoint area (Durham). I have a lot experience in tutoring, being born in Venezuela gave me the ability to speak a very decent Spanish so I'm able to teach in general terms. Kids are always welcome and anyone who simply wants to learn or get by another language also!

During a trip to Disney World as a teenager, I was mesmerized by all of the foreign languages that I heard and strove to master one. My mother purchased me a Spanish program, and off I went. Since then, I have gone on to master four other romance languages, and I love helping others to discover the joys of different languages and cultures. I also love to play guitar. I have been playing since 1991 and have found it to be a gift that never stops giving. I feel that one is never truly alone if he or she is capable of playing an instrument. My love of Spanish and guitar has led me to a very enjoyable career. I taught Spanish for 13 years at a preparatory academy, and I also have taught beginning guitar lessons for seven years at the academy. On the side, I am delighted to give private lessons for both the guitar and Spanish language. (LinkedIn site and resume will be gladly provided upon request.)
