William Estes has been playing the violin for over 20 years and enjoys pushing his students to achieve their creative and artistic goals. From the standard classical training to Disney, William focuses on tailoring lessons to meet the needs and interests of the student. Mr. Estes is also an active performer who can help his students prepare and how to succeed in auditions for school orchestra, youth orchestra, and All-State.
He has recently graduated from the University of North Texas with a Masters of Music degree, studying with Dr. Felix Olschofka. Previously, William earned his Bachelors of Music degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro under the tutelage of Marjorie Bagley.
While studying at UNT, William worked as a teachers assistant (TA) and held the positions of Concertmaster and Principal Second Violin with the University of North Texas Symphony Orchestra. He currently holds positions with the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra in Dallas, TX and the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra in Abilene, TX. Before migrating to Texas, William won positions with both the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra and the Winston-Salem Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Estes has been teaching in Dallas, TX for the past few years and also tutors in the Dallas Independent School District, working with underserved communities by providing those students with instruction from a working professional.
William is also involved with early music and regularly performs with the Dallas Bach Society and the Orchestra of New Spain playing on period instruments.
