Brooke was a great find; I find her to be very intuitive. I have been going to her for both relationship and life coaching, and she has helped me a great deal. I would recommend her services for sure.

I found Tree of Life Wellness Center through its retail storefront, Kindred Spirits. (More on their offerings, below). I was searching for an avenue to explore certain gifts and callings I'd always had, and buried, for most of my life. I'd visited the store itself and liked the crystals, books, herbs, etc, but didn't realize it was the tip of the iceberg as far as offerings from its owner, Antonina Whaples. She does not put on airs and, unless she wanted you to know, you could go a lifetime without realizing you were talking to a powerful, lineaged shaman and medicine woman. She looks like a pretty, stylish, 20-something young professional. All to say: you can feel comfortable no matter who you are when seeking her services. But don't underestimate. :) I began by signing up for a psychic gifts class held after hours in the sacred space off the main store. Honestly I was nervous this would be like all the other avenues I tried in the past: stereotypical witchy-women only goth settings with velvet curtains, wiccan vernacular, and only candles for light. Because that's how *I* used to be!! And there's nothing wrong with that, however, here's the takeaway: I never had to try so hard. Psychic class was four women, led by Antonina, and we learned applicable techniques over the course of 3 hours. I was so impressed with how her teachings stayed with me that I began one on one sessions (at less than I'd pay most therapists). Antonina is not a Western medical doctor but she IS committed to being the catalyst for positive change, holding space as you discover your gifts and how to apply them in your life. She works with everyone from high end professionals to transient roamers to students, and with her own teachers as well. What I like the most is that Antonina will not come right out and tell you trite nonsense. Nor will she play new age-y mind games with you. She is there as a guide to help YOU make the discoveries. A year and a half later, I am one of Antonina's shamanic apprentices. I still listen to punk music, work out in a gym, and have a day job. But I'm also learning Reiki, beekeeping, deepening my knowledge of herbalism (check out her herbal school!!), participating in ceremony, healing my PTSD, and most of all learning to trust in the "mysterious coincidences" which happen All the Time (you'll see what I mean!). When you sign up as a TOLWC student, you don't just get an hour or a class; you get someone who will do their best to be there for questions and will respect your boundaries as you respect hers. Tree of Life Wellness Center has an extensive list of offerings including: personal healing and development sessions, Reiki classes for certification, doula services, crystal healing, shamanic work, ancestral healing, tarot, herbalism, Chinese medicine, psychic services, and year-round ceremonies open to the public for a reasonable fee. P.S. If you made it this far in the review, I'll add that healing work is DEEP and designed to change your life, not act as a feel good band-aid. Antonina is a person you can break down and cry in front of without fear of judgement. I speak from experience. My life is so much better and more authentic now, proving that the rocky road can be a path to greatness. Like, she's not gonna tell you to never come back if yer bawlin'.

Solomon's passion for the youth shows each time he speaks. I was honored to witness him speak to some young adults. He takes his life experience and compassion to motivate, inspire and meet the audience right where they are. This is something special because it draws you in and gives you hope and understanding that there is a better way. To me to have him speak is much needed in a society where social media status defines you. Taking our youth back to true self, is needed and is something that solomon provides each time he speaks.

      About

I assist my clients in establishing priorities with their health and fitness goals, and then we create concrete plans to help achieve these goals. I provide accountability and help them monitor their progress, as well as setbacks. Majority of my life I have been overweight, and I remember going to Weight Watchers at the age of 8 per by doctor's recommendation. After graduating college, I had reached 260 pounds. I decided that something had to change, and I would not continue the rest of my life being overweight. I have recently lost 130 pounds, and following my weight loss, I proceeded to obtain my personal training certification. I am extremely passionate about helping others reach their goals, and I find it incredibly fulfilling to see individuals become successful in their weight loss journey!

Example Of Recent Endorsement: As a mom, a wife and business owner, I am pulled in many different directions on a daily basis. I was helping my Clients, marketing my law firm, arranging my work schedule to be able to volunteer at my daughter's school and trying to be a good wife. I never put myself first in any day. If I did, I felt guilty that someone else was needing me and I was saying no to that person to say yes to myself. Andy helped me put my life into perspective. He really challenged me to come to terms with it being ok to still have a successful law firm, still be a great mom and wife, but still put me first and not feel wrong about doing that. Andy did not have an easy client admittedly. But he had the patience, compassion and understood why I felt that way. In the process, my Firm has become even more successful, yet I have been able to take more time for myself. I wholeheartedly recommend Andy and would encourage others to reach out to him as well

      About

Relationships, they are the core of all that we do in life. My goal is to help you with any relationship issues you have. The relationship with yourself is the most important one! As a former competitive teen athlete and an adult stage performer, I specialize in working with teens with sports/stage/class performance anxiety/self-image issues (the "mental" game). Also, I help separated/divorced individuals to improve their relationship with their ex, which is critical when you have kids. I've completed my training with Martha Beck (O Magazine monthly columnist) in 2012 and continue to hone my skills by continuing my education via various specialized coaching curricula and alternative healing therapies. One of the therapy techniques I use is EFT for stress and pain management. I discovered this while researching ways to help my teenager with migraines. Please let me know how I can help your relationships!

      About

Hi there!! I'm Alexandra Kaval. I'm a certified life coach & founder of Grace Space Christian Coaching. I spent a good part of my life incredibly overwhelmed and feeling like my life was supposed to have more meaning, but had struggled finding direction & purpose. All of this led me to become a coach for women who might be feeling the same way, but know there's more. I especially love partnering with Christian women to help them uncover a deeper understanding of who they are in the Lord and how to use their gifts & dreams to honor God and serve others so that they can live from a place of joy and gratitude. Oftentimes, we'll talk about navigating tough transitions and finding & sustaining a healthy mindset. The women I work with gain confidence, clarity, and a plan for how to connect to their goals and faith. They're empowered to unlock their potential and are energized to make progress on what matters most. We'll work together to create a clear plan of action to positively impact their life and those around them. : ) Plus, I'll also provide encouragement and accountability throughout the growth process. Ready to get to the root of what's holding you back and live a more joyful, intentional, and Christ-centered life? Let's talk

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

      What is a life coach?

A professional, accredited life coach works with people to help them make important changes in their life, either growing in their profession or changing gears in their personal lives. They help clients turn their dreams or wishes into realistic, attainable goals. They guide people through the process of making life changes by helping them evaluate the steps they must take to reach a particular goal, then help them decide how — and whether — to take those steps in the most efficient, effective and rewarding way possible. A life coach acts as a motivator, strategist and accountability partner. Unlike a therapist, a life coach doesn’t help solve problems from your past — they’re focused on helping you move forward with new ways of acting and thinking that will help you reach your goals. Some people specialize in particular types of life coaching, including life balancing coaches, small business coaches, executive coaches and personal finance coaches. Some meet clients in person, while others hold consultations over the phone.

Regardless of which type of life coach you’re interested in, make sure the person holds an International Coach Federation (ICF) credential. There are three tiers of credentials: Associate, Professional and Master, which require coaching experience ranging from 100 hours to 2,500 hours.

How much does a life coach cost?

A life coach helps clients set and reach professional and personal goals, develop positive habits, and deal with stress. Some people meet with a life coach once or twice, while others form an ongoing professional relationship, meeting regularly in person or on the phone. The average national cost to meet with a life coach ranges from $80 to $130 an hour. Some coaches offer per-session pricing, especially for one-time meetings; expect to pay an average of $100-$125. People who want to work with a coach over a period of time to explore life transitions, career growth or lifestyle changes may be able to get discounted pricing in a package. For example, three 60-minute sessions cost an average of $300, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $350, and four 60- to 90-minute sessions plus unlimited contact between sessions cost an average of $400. Some specific types of coaching, such as relationship or marriage coaching, cost more than standard life coaching. For instance, three 60-minute relationship coaching sessions cost an average of $500, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $550, and six 60- to 90-minute sessions cost an average of $650 when purchased as a package. Training and experience can also affect the cost of hiring a life coach. An Associate Certified Coach, who holds a certification that requires only 60 hours of training and 100 hours of coaching experience, will charge less than a Master Certified Coach, who typically has at least 200 hours of training and 2,500 hours of coaching experience.

      Why get a life coach?

People of all ages and in all careers have called in a life coach. Life coaches are accredited professionals who can help you figure out the tangible changes you can make in your life to reach your goals; they can even help you turn your dreams into goals, if you’re not sure where to go next. A life coach can also help people find their purpose in life. Life coaching clients often have an idea of what they want to do, such as help people or work with animals, but don’t know how to turn that passion into a career. A life coach can help clients work through the options to find a clear path with concrete steps that lead to an attainable goal. A life coach can also help clients make a major career change, such as starting a new business. Life coaches can help clients develop better habits that will make them more successful, acting as an accountability partner. Life coaches also often guide their clients through major transitions in life, such as a career change or other stressful situations that are made easier with guidance from a neutral third party.
