- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices vary by design, but as a general rule, wedding cakes start at $5 per serving. I offer discounts on large weddings and am always happy to discuss your needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we schedule a tasting for you and yours, where we get to know one another over cake. We discuss your vision and create a plan for the cake. If you love my idea, we then sign a contract and I receive a 50% retainer, The remainder of the payment is due 72 hours prior to the wedding, which leaves one less thing for you to be concerned about. Then, you enjoy an amazing day where you get to have your cake, and eat it too!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a trained artist, sculptor, and a self taught cake designer. I have taught classes on baking and decorating and participated in many community outreach and missions events.
