Be prepared. People often make important home buying decisions on a whim and/or let their emotions get too involved. Unfortunately a home inspection is the point when people who don't put a lot of time into decision making second-guess the biggest financial decision of their lives, and the problems discovered during an inspection become scary. No property is perfect. The inspection will provide you with some good information about a property, but more often than not, there will be more bad news than good, so be prepared and have a plan on how to handle the problems discovered through the course of an inspection.
