Hey my name is Andrew, and I have been teaching and performing for over 10 years up and down the east coast in addition to a year teaching and performing in South Africa! I am currently offering both virtual music lessons and in-person lessons in/around the Philadelphia area. Send me an email, and we can talk about your musical goals and how we can get there! See below for a blurb on my professional and musical journey. Andrew Pfeiffer's love of music and songwriting started in middle school, and has taken him across continents in his quest to spread the joy of learning and creating music. After years of piano and trombone lessons in elementary school, he fell in love with the guitar and studied both jazz guitar and orchestral trombone throughout his high school years. Andrew graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Wesleyan University before before turning his eye toward teaching. He traveled to South Africa for an opportunity to devise and teach a songwriting curriculum to high schoolers entitled “In My Own Voice.” Upon returning to the states, he joined the Alexandria Country Day School in Virginia and led their chorus program as well as the band ensemble and the junior high symphonic orchestra. Andrew prides himself on giving his students agency in choosing their material and guiding their learning to allow them creative control. These days, Andrew is the front man for his touring band, FeelFree, which recently won best reggae album at Washington DC’s Wammy Awards. When he’s not songwriting and performing, Andrew enjoys cooking, playing trombone and challenging others to funny-face competitions. He is currently offering piano, guitar, trombone, songwriting and vocal lessons.See more
