Michelle is great with kids. Our 7-year old daughter loves her piano lessons and always looks forward to them. More important, we can hear that she is really learning and making great progress. Two of her school friends have started lessons with Michelle after we recommended her.
Gregor is a kind and supportive teacher who made my lessons fun and enjoyable. I highly recommend him to anyone who is considering violin lessons for the first time or already an experienced player.
Harry is truly an excellent teacher. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He makes the lessons fun and challenging, and I come away realizing I've learned a lot in an hour. He is a really good violin and piano player and it really inspires me to go home and practice. Harry tries hard to be flexible with scheduling which I really appreciate. The price of the lessons is also good. If you are looking for a violin or piano teacher (he teaches me violin), I would say try a lesson with Harry for sure.
I am fortunate to have found a dedicated and professional violin teacher for my two children. Miss Victoria has a great personality and is able to keep them focused and motivated. My daughter was especially taken immediately with her encouraging and supportive approach. Their hand position and technique are much improved since starting with Miss Victoria.
Allison is an excellent violin instructor. I was an extreme beginner when I started taking lessons from her, and she was very kind and helpful throughout the way. I would definitely recommend learning from her!
Kino is really patient with me, and her space is really clean, bright and large, highly recommend her for piano lessons.
We have been students of the Piano Workshop for 7 years. Mark, the director, does a great job at matching students with teachers and is very accommodating to work with scheduling lessons especially with families that have very full schedules. We enjoy the recordings done at every recital and they make a good teaching tool as well. There are lots of teachers of various disciplines so students of all musical talents can benefit at the Piano Workshop. It's a professionally run outfit that I would recommend to all families.
On our first violin course, Emanuelle helped me to correct my gesture of holding violin, also taught me how to practice upper bow. After the course, i feel that i can hold the violin more comfortablly and also i can make more powerful sound with my bow. Emanuelle teach with great patience, and he know how to inspire me to find my own way to hold the violin and bow. learning with him is a fruitful experience
My daughter loves her violin teacher! We switched to City Strings from another music academy, and couldn't be happier!
Avital has been my sons violin tutor for quite some time, and I couldn't be happier. He is a wonderful teacher and an expert violinist. He really knows how to deal with children (my son is 9), and is patient and gentle, while at the same time holding them to a real standard and encouraging them to be the best they can. He is a wonderful violin tutor and I highly recommend him!
I was looking for a cello, violin and piano teacher for my 2 daughters and was lucky to find Furuya Sisters using Thumbtack. They are musical, friendly and my daughters enjoy classes with them. Thoroughly recommend anybody looking for music teachers to contact them!
My son and daughter have been taking lessons at the Piano Workshop of Chester with Sonia for the past few years and they continue to make great progress!
My learning experience with Mr. Gao was outstanding. He was very cordial and patient with his observation and offered several suggestions to improve my playing technique. The lesson structure was customized to my individual needs and goals. He was also quick to demonstrate by playing when necessary to further clarify his explanations, which I appreciated. I was very happy with my lesson, and plan to continue. I had high expectations for my lesson with Mr. Gao given his excellent artistic credentials, and my expectations were met and exceeded. I highly recommend Mr. Gao as an excellent violin instructor.
He focuses quickly on areas for needed improvement and gives excellent, friendly advice on how to achieve it.
Caroline played violin for my wedding and did an absolutely wonderful job. She was incredibly professional, easy to work with, and made our ceremony very special and memorable. We could not have picked a better violinist!
My name is Sue Tai. I was Mr. Lio’s violin student in Macao two years ago. Mr. Lio taught me and my son Kenny Kam to play the violin from August 2013 to August 2015. My son Kenny and I took the violin lesson and an aural lesson once a week. Kenny took the ABRSM violin exam grade 3 under the supervision of Mr. Lio in December 2014. He passed the exam and got the certificate successfully. Mr. Lio is a serious, responsible and patient teacher. He taught us important basic skills of playing the violin at the early stage of learning violin carefully. He paid special attention to our gestures of holding the bow and clicking the fingers on the strings accurately. Besides teaching the basic skills of playing the violin, he also arranged exercises for us to practice our fingers and bowing regularly. In addition, he required Kenny to write a diary to record his practice as homework so as to improve his violin skills. Kenny and I took the violin lesson at the same time. When Kenny was playing the violin, I sat at the back, listened and watched carefully. Similarly, Kenny listened carefully when Mr. Lio was teaching me to play the violin. We took turns to practice the violin and we learned from each other’s mistakes. Mr. Lio plays the violin very well. He sets a good model for us to follow. We still keep in touch after Mr. Lio went to the U.S. for further studies. I am really thankful to Mr. Lio for his patience and seriousness in guiding me and my son towards the world of violin music.
It has been great studying with Evelyn. She is an excellent teacher, very patient and nudges her students forward so they can truly become better violinists. Well worth the money and I would recommend her to any lover of the violin.
Efrat has been teaching vocal lessons to my daughter for about 6 months now We both couldn't be any happier. Would highly recommended her and will be continuing singing lessons for a very long time. She is very experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about teaching my child all she needs to learn to be a successful vocalist.
I took singing lessons with Jen perkel for a number of years. It all started when I had to sing a wedding in Holland and had a very difficult piece. She worked with me every week until I could sing it comfortably. I continued taking lessons with her for quite some time after as I enjoyed the time spent very much. Since then, any time I have some challenging music I turn to Jennifer for help.
