I am not a believer in traditional dieting because they rarely work. I will teach you how certain food affects your body as well as your brain and how some foods can harm, so that you can take charge of your health both physically and mentally. "You are not what you eat but what your body does with what you eat." We work with weight management, fatigue, ADHD, chronic pain, pre and post menopause and more.

Like many others struggling with hypothyroidism, digestive issues and overall fatigue, I tried every diet and approach out there thinking that magically, I would be healed and would feel like my younger, healthier self again. Well....I think you already know how the rest of the story goes so I will stop there. Until I met Barbara at Mindful Body Nutrition, I had no idea that our bodies all have their own unique bio-chemistry. What works for me might not necessarily work for you and vice-versa. Barbara educated me on some of the 'whys' behind how I was feeling, struggling with insomnia and just not feeling drained and depleted. She spent countless hours coaching me so that I better understood how the body truly works and tips to overcome some of the damage that my body had experienced over the years that I so badly wanted to reverse. I know that I made the right decision in hiring Barbara and feel that my life has indeed changed forever. I interviewed 8 other nutritionists before I met her and stopped short in my tracks when I spoke with Barbara as she was leaps and bounds ahead of everybody else. You won't find a boiler plate, cookie-cut approach to nutrition with Barbara and I was able to determine immediately that she was the consummate professional and wanted very badly to help me overcome my challenges. Now only did she help me feel remarkably better and improve my sleep patterns, in looking back at the time we worked together, I can tell you that the real different maker for me was that Barbara CARED about my progress. Money is not her motivator. Helping others feel better and accomplish their nutritional goals is. And, in today's world, that, in itself.....is priceless. Thank you, Barbara. I know that I am on the path to living a much healthier lifestyle and as they say in baseball, 'it's a marathon, not a sprint.' I will forever be grateful for what you taught me and will continue this journey towards a healthy lifestyle from here on out. There is no going backwards for me...!

I am still working with Barbara and I have been very pleased with her approach and her continuing commitment to my specific needs. I wanted someone who could meet with me, in person, and work in a "hands on" way to help me improve my nutrition and my eating habits. She has done this and, most importantly, she has been teaching me how to do this myself so that I will be able to continue this lifestyle change on my own. I would highly recommend her.

Working with Barbara has been a life changing experience with great benefits. In just a few weeks I started to notice small differences that became big changes. I've started to get into better shape physically but even more importantly, I'm learning how to STAY in shape. During our first consultation, Barbara and I devised a nutritional plan which I found easy to follow. She worked with me to develop a diet that is both healthy and invigorating -- and entirely in synch with my (some would say!) picky palette. Barbara has a great personality, a strong knowledge foundation and is fully committed to my success. I'm grateful for her support and would recommend her highly.
