About

I have been taking guitar lessons from David Joel for about a year and a half. I started taking lessons at 64yrs.old because I always wanted to play guitar. When I was researching teachers, I was looking for certain qualities in a teacher and when I saw David Joel’s background which includes a Master’s Degree in Music, a former faculty member at Berklee College and his playing background I decided to give him a try. David is very methodical teacher and as a beginner he teaches you the proper way to play guitar as well as reading music, practice techniques and addresses individual goals of each student. I would highly recommend David as he is in my opinion the top teacher in the area. Charlie L.

About

Carol has been wonderful as a music teacher. I was very nervous to start piano as an adult learner since it had been many years that I played. Carol is understanding, calm and motivating. She also challenges me with varied music and methods of learning. Although I am taking piano lessons, I am also learning music theory and the ability to accompany other instruments. I would highly recommend Carol as a music teacher.

About

Dan is one of the most talented and thoughtful musicians I've ever met, as well as an especially astute teacher. Whether you're an old hand or just starting out, Dan knows how to make jam sessions fun and can suit a wide variety of interests, from pop, to hard rock, to jazz and more. I would highly recommend him for guitar lessons above anyone else.

About

Philly Music Lessons provides personalized, student-focused bass, guitar, drum, and piano lessons in Cherry Hill, Philadelphia, as well as all along the Main Line. Classes are available in our Philadelphia studio, or within the comfort of your own home. Because each student has different goals and interests, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching. While most teachers say goodbye and don’t think about you until next week’s lesson, we spend just as much time beyond our weekly meetings, developing a personalized lesson plan for you, based upon the music you love. Technique, improvisation, composition and theory are all taught in relation to your own musical interests.
