Introduction: Experienced native Italian speaker with multiple years of in-person and online language teaching and tutoring. All levels and age ranges are welcome! I have had mostly beginners, but also helped students in maintaining and practicing through conversation and weekly exercises their pre-existing skills. I love to work with my students closely and attentively, by understanding their necessities and keep myself flexible in the variety of necessities and difficulties each person may encounter in their language journey. Everybody is different. but my goal has always been to make this experience fun, as practicable as possible, and leave you with enthusiasm and passion form our first lesson!

I've been taking lessons with Alissa for a few weeks, and I'm very pleased with my progress. Alissa always calls right on time and comes to the sessions prepared to help me progress. She caters to my learning ability and is willing to move at the speed in which I'm picking up the information. Furthermore, Alissa is flexible with my schedule and willing to change or extend our sessions to best meet my needs. At the completion of my sessions, I will rehire Alissa to continue learning how to speak and read Italian. I'm lucky to be learning from someone as thoughtful and professional as Alissa!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The average market hourly is $75 and that’s how much language lessons are paid in schools and private tutoring. I offer around $50 per hour (including my travel fee within 15 miles) but remotely it ranges around $30. I offer discounts on packages! Ex: buy 10 lessons get one free!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first lesson we assess for the first minutes the goals and current levels, then switch to some basic information about Italian (alphabet, pronunciation, top used words and meaning). Lesson by lesson we’ll grow and it’ll become a little more challenging as we go but I’ll always take the time to practice and explain as many times needed! After 3-4 lessons on the structure of sentences and some verb introduction, we’ll move on and start to speak and read conversations!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Education bachelor degree + years of experience in the field (from a Language School to private tutoring) of 5+ years.
