Mike was great. He’s personable and committed to making his customers happy. He’s great with our dog, moves furniture and did a fabulous job with our carpets. I’ll have him return to clean our kitchen tile floor and definitely to clean our carpets again.

Very positive experience. Beverly, who is the owner, was detailed and patient with all my questions (first time customer). I had a detailed hardwood floor cleaning as well as a bathroom deep clean. Ami, who provided the service, came in for a brief consultation to provide a quote since my request was specific. I quickly booked the job for the following week. The floors look brand new and the bathroom spotless. You can tell there was a lot of thoughtful work put into the job. We were very impressed. Note that you will need to provide mops/vacuum/swiffer etc.. but they provide the cleaning products. Thank you Ami and Beverly!! Will definitely book again!

Manuel and his assistant did a fantastic job of cleaning and polishing my wood and ceramic tile floors. My floors were in really sad shape and they made them new again. Also they put all the furniture in its original space. And all for a very fair price. I couldn't be more pleased

Silvia was great, exceeded my expectations and made what was once a grimey move-in for our new apartment into a much better living situation. She cleaned the grout and tiles for our bathroom and it almost felt like new. She also did a great job with the floors and went above and beyond putting things away and helping setup our new place.

I was 100% satisfied with the work I had done by this company! They were very helpful and accommodating from the receptionist who answered the phone to the man who came to do my work. They came to my house the same day that I called! The gentleman who came to clean my tile and grout in my kitchen was prompt, knowledgeable, nice and thorough. My floors came out amazing!! The price they gave me was more reasonable than any other company around. I will definitely use this company for any other work in my house that I need!

I hired Marco after interviewing 4 others. We had him put glass subway tiles on the wall in our shower -tub area and also on the ceiling. He also installed 12 by 25 inch porcelain tiles on the floor. My wife and I are very let's just say anal when we hire a contractor. Marco is a true professional he was always on time and was very meticulous with prepping and cleaning every day when he was through. Marcos work is above and beyond expectations.I felt his quote was beyond fair .. If you are looking for an exceptional job with tile Marcos would be who I would recommend. .I am having him come back to regrout a floor in another one of our bathrooms. Thank you Marco for the excellent job. Terry Battle

My husband & I were so happy how our ceramic kitchen floor came out. We had the floor cleaned along with regrouting. Dominick was very prompt & professional. He immediately had his employees put booties on over their shoes & had them lay a cloth tarp down in the living room. Once they were finished my floor looked brand new again. I am so happy how it turned out. I asked Dominick if there was anything that could be done to my granite counter around the sink. It had a small chip & Dominick took care of it for me at no charge! I would definitely use The King Of Kleen in the future. I'll also recommend them to family & friends.

Ken did a great job repair and replacing about 34 crack ceramic tiles. Ken and his son Austin work very hard and and extremely professional. I also hired Ken to clean and recolor my grout to a nice brown color. My floor look great due to the hard work by Ken and his son. Highly recommend his craftmanship.

High-Tech did a wonderful job in renovating my basement. They installed bathrooms, ceramic and wood floors, research lights, and closets. They opened up my basement and now I have a lot of spare space. They did such a superb job that I can't believe it is only a basement

Jay Quin Contracting renovated my 100 year old Victorian. His work is outstanding!. His ideas and visions of my home were so impressive. Far surpassed what I expected my home to look like at the end of my renovation. Kitchen, bathrooms. Rental unit, crown molding, electrical, lighting, tile work, hardwoods floors, fireplaces and the list can go on and on. His workers were emaculate and Jay Quin himself was present every day. I can't thank him enough. This man has hands of gold!

We were so excited his guy cleaned our kitchen floor from tenants that probably hadn't cleaned the floor in years and it came back to life. I was shocked I didn't have to replace the floor to put the house on the market. Thank you!

Vick at Servi-All was an absolute pleasure to work with and we are thrilled with the results of all his hard work! We initially hired him just for some cabinet painting, but our project evolved, and we made some mid-way decisions, discoveries, and changes, but Vick took on everything in stride and was patient and professional. Vick is responsive to texts and was easy to get ahold of when needed. Above all else, the quality of all his work, and especially his cabinet painting (completely removed door fronts, applied several even spray coats to both sides, painted everything else in place) was top notch! We also had him install plank flooring, paint the walls and ceilings, apply a tile backsplash, tile the entryway floor, and handle some other odds and ends. We couldn't be happier with the results and would definitely recommend Servi-All to others seeking similar.

I’m very pleased with the work performed by Sam’s Construction. In 2013 we hired them to redo our 26 year old kitchen. He finished the job on time and within budget. His team took great care in protecting our existing ceramic tile floor and limiting the amount of construction clean-up. The craftsmanship and attention to detail has transformed our kitchen into the centerpiece of our home. Every element, from the lighting, plumbing, cabinetry & granite counter-tops is top-shelf. Several months later we hired Sam’s Construction again to gut and remodel a bathroom. Consistent with the work done on our kitchen, the bathroom came out beautiful.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How can I get my grout clean?

Dirt, mildew and grime can make your grout lines look downright tragic. If you have the ability, DIY tile and grout cleaning is definitely doable. Your main obstacles are time, project size, availability of the right materials and effort. Your first step in tile and grout cleaning is making sure the surface area is cleaned of basic dirt and buildup and wiped down. Be sure not to use a bleach-based cleaning agent, which could react dangerously with the vinegar used in later steps.

Depending on the delicacy of your tile and grout, it may be wise to start with water and friction before proceeding to a cleaning solution. In the shower you can spray the area while brushing gently, or use a spray bottle filled with warm water on countertops or floors. If water won’t do the trick, try a solution of equal parts warm water and white vinegar, and repeat the gentle brushing motion. This combination should begin to lift dirt and grime from the grout. For additional tile and grout cleaning power, baking soda applied directly to grout lines and sprayed with your water vinegar solution can help suds off sticky grime. If your DIY cleaning solutions aren’t doing the trick, store-bought sprays and pastes may have more cleansing power. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning and enjoy your sparkling clean grout.

Tile and grout cleaning supplies include:

      • Old standard or electric toothbrush
      • Stiff bristle brush
      • Spray bottle
      • White vinegar
      • Commercial grout cleaner

How much does it cost to clean tile and grout?

The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Pros may charge a flat fee or by the square foot. Rates can vary depending on the type of tile and grout you have (more delicate tiles may mean specialized products or careful handwashing), how dirty your tile and grout are, and what part of the country you are in (regional labor rates and costs to do business affect costs). For example, one floor cleaning company charges 75 cents per square foot for tile and grout cleaning for projects that permit cleaning by machine. Another company may charge $30-$50 per hour for hand-cleaning of tiles. Companies often charge a minimum fee for services to ensure their business expenses are met when they accept a job, no matter how small. In addition, a tile and flooring cleaning professional may charge added fees, such as $25 or more, to move heavy furniture or appliances.

How do professionals clean tile and grout?

If you need tile and grout cleaning and don’t have the time or mobility for scrubbing your entire house on your hands and knees, it’s time to turn to the pros. Tile and grout cleaning professionals have industrial-grade machines designed for the sole task of cleaning the porous materials of grout and tile. Typically, a cleaning pro will come out to assess the job and provide you with a quote. Often they charge per square foot (for example, 75 cents per square foot), with higher prices or an hourly rate for areas that will need hand cleaning. The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Once onsite, the pros thoroughly clean the area by wiping or sweeping down and then vacuuming up any dry dirt. Next a chemical tile cleaner is sprayed over the surface, causing dirt to loosen and adhere to the spray; the industry term for this is “suspension.” The pros then clean the floor with professional-strength machines, which often use a combination of steam, brushes and vacuum to loosen, agitate and lift entrenched dirt. Your floor is then rinsed, removing all the spray. Usually a small room can be cleaned in under an hour. Applying a sealant afterward is recommend and will also affect cost.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
