I hired Nick Michaels for both DJ and photo booth for my daughter's Sweet 16 Party. This guy is no joke. He is top notch and professional. People thought they were at a wedding. The photo booth was the best I or my girls have ever seen. The kids were in it all night and had a blast. As for the DJ portion, there are no words to describe just how good this guy is. He does soup to nuts. He handled every aspect of this party and ran it like a well oiled machine. From the introduction to the banquet to the candle lighting ceremony, everything ran perfect. If you are throwing a party, this is the guy you want. Trust me. Unless I go to another party that he DJ's, my daughter's Sweet Sixteen CANNOT BE TOPPED! DJ Byrd was awesome! I organized a somewhat last-minute 50th birthday party for 75 persons, with a 1980's theme. And, I wanted a DJ for dancing AND karaoke. The event was only 3 weeks away; and, as I Googled local DJ's I stumbled upon Thumbtack and quickly entered the details of my party (I had never used the service before). I was happy to get several quality responses within minutes. I then reviewed the proposal and website (and Facebook page, if they had one) of each DJ that responded; then, I interviewed three final candidates. DJ Byrd's website was the most helpful, with many pictures and lots of information; and, both the website and Thumbtack profile of DJ Byrd included many positive and top-notch testimonials (like this one). In addition, DJ Byrd was the most impressive (and professional) DJ candidate on the phone interview. He asked me many relevant questions about my event, gave examples of similar engagements for which he was hired, and also had several great proposals for my party. He was very familiar with 1980's music, but still suggested that I send examples of playlists to that he could be sure to prepare a series of songs that I liked in advance. And, he suggested that he first play a series of quieter 1980's dinner hour songs, then start ramping up to more dance-type 1980's songs. That worked really well. And, once the party and dancing started, he really got the crowd moving and having a great time! We originally hired him from 7pm to 11pm, but we extended his service until 1:30am because people were having such a great time! Also very important was that he was the only DJ that also had terrific karaoke equipment, screens, wireless mics, and a vast karaoke song list! This proved VERY popular at the party. We sang karaoke and danced all night long! DJ Byrd's equipment, sound system, and light show were terrific. The whole presentation made our house feel like a 1980's disco night club! Finally, DJ Byrd was very professional, punctual, and courteous. He was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend his services (and we will use him again!).

I was happy to see the quality of props that Ellen had Put out. It was not your ordinary plastic hats and glasses but of a higher quality and well varied. The service was great with the camera attendant and Ellen as well helping the guests. We opted for a 6x4 and got copies on the spot and emailed to us. An overall success and lots of fun for the twin girls 1st Birthday party with about 100 guests. Highly recomended.

The Gifbox was one of our favorite elements of our wedding! Guests absolutely loved this and had so much fun. I wasn't entirely sure about it when we initially decided to go with the Gifbox over a traditional photo booth, but honestly best decision ever. It was so much more fun and refreshing from the standard photo booth. With going to so many different weddings, we wanted something a little less traditional (as of entire wedding wasn't the norm!) and this was perfection! The team was great to work with and I can't wait to throw another party just to get a Gifbox. Every time we look at the gifs, we can't help but laugh and smile. The best decision I made for my engagement party was hiring Christian. His soundcloud really shows off his skills and that's exactly what we got at our party. He is also extremely professional. He answered every single one of my emails quickly and was so patient in answering all of my questions. He helped me decide which package was best for my party and even upgraded us to a better sound system free of charge. On the day of the party, Christian was a big hit with all of my guests. Everyone came up to me and said how amazing the music was and they loved every single song he played. Eddie was the DJ for my wedding back in April 2015. Everybody knows that weddings can be a blur and are over before you know it. Not for me though. I remember spending the entire night on the dance with my wife dancing to anything and everything we wanted to hear. Eddie took our ideas from the time we met with him and turned into a party we still remember. I can't recommend Eddie enough to DJ any event you are planning. I guarantee that won't regret hiring him!
