Introduction: Hi, I teach at The Little Guitar School in Albuquerque on Carlisle Blvd just south of Montgomery. I specialize in teaching classical guitar but also teach rock guitar, flamenco, most other styles and music theory. I have a bachelor's degree in classical guitar performance from the University of New Mexico. I studied 6yrs under Maestro Michael Chapdelaine and Professor Chapdelaine, in turn, is in the lineage, and a direct student of Maestro Andres Segovia. Also, I have 10 years of experience playing in one of New Mexico's hardest and most popular metal bands in addition to having spent 3 years concentrating in music theory and composition. If you're interested in learning to play guitar or even just learning to read music and building your understanding of music theory so you can compose your own music, we will be a good match. I teach students of any age and have 3 years of experience working with children at the Albuquerque Museum and the Albuquerque Children's Museum. Lessons are generally 1 hour a week and require individual practice time at home. Discounted monthly rates are available.
