José came to my house to give me a quote for a front yard clean up which consisted of pulling weeds, trimming my palm, trimming and shaping hedges, blowing leaves and debris from rocks and drive way. The very next day, he and his crew showed up at 8 AM as promised and quickly went to work. One hour later, they were done and my yard looked amazing! So amazing, that I hired him and his crew to come back every weeks to maintain it. Give him a call, I'm glad I did.

We had Mike come out to look at leak in sprinkler system and ended up having the following:Sprinkler repair, bush and tree trimming, general clean up and added decorative rocks. He and guys were there when they said they would be there and even early which I think that is great! They did a good job and timely manner. We felt comfortable with him coming into our home and even our dogs liked them. I would and will use Mike in the future!!

They quoted me a great price for cutting/trimming a tree. They were a little late showing up but kept in communication with me sop we could work it out without me being there to start the job. Swung back by and paid them when the job was almost finished. Cleanup up nice and no complaints. I would use them again without hesitation.

I give Kenyatta Barnes, owner, Trade Em All Services 5*****+ for communication, courtesy, and concern you are happy with the final results after their visit to your home. It is obvious "no job is too big, too small, or too messy" for her and her staff. I hired them to do a lawn maintenance, garden trimming and a messy, messy cleanup job for my house and garden. I am extremely impressed with the take charge manner, skills and professional attitude of James and staff who came out to handle the job. James is a team player and team leader who knew exactly what I wanted done even before I had a chance to ask him and with a cheerful, quick and efficient manner got the job done. I will be using Trade Em All again for my home renovation and garden upkeep chores and can happily recommend this company to anyone and assure them you will find that your home renovations, garden and lawn maintenance will look clean and beautiful when they are finished. Fantastic. George arrived early and did wonderful work. He removed debris and leaves from both yards, trimmed all of the bushes/trees and pruned/trimmed back our ivy. He also mowed the grass. He did all of this for a very reasonable price. We will absolutely use him again! Highly recommended!

This was my first time working with a professional landscaper. I must say, I couldn’t be happier. I had a large weed problem and couldn’t begin to do it myself. Angel came out and took care of all the weeds, trimmed my palms, and cleaned up all the debris. My yard looks brand new. Thanks for great work!

Mr. Leuck showed up on time, actually a little bit early, for the initial meeting. He seemed to understand that this particular job was not the ordinary, as the yard was planted and maintained for many years by a LV Master Gardener. He seemed to understand about the proper way to trim certain plants that many las Vegans do not have. He works alone, so the job was rather daunting, but he did a very nice job, and we have hired him to do the ongoing maintenance for the foreseeable future. His prices seem very usual and fair, for the type of work that it is. He did not seem to be put off by the fact that we had to make some unusual requests about certain aspects. I would recommend him to others, as his work seems to be a very good quality when compared to other landscape maintenance people that I have dealt with in the past.

We are very happy with Ben's services. We initially hired his company for tree trimming and leaf blowing only, but he ended up helping us with our irrigation system as well. He is professional, timely, and very fair with his pricing. I highly recommend this company.

Josh is the owner of this business and is a very nice, kind and hardworking man. He did all the work himself in my yard. I needed someone to trim my palm trees, trim a large willow tree, clean up a bunch of leave and trim a pomegranate bush that were all seriously overgrown. I only had until Friday to get it done. I went through Thumbtack and Josh sent me his number so I contacted him on a Monday. He said he could come the next day and was very flexible with the time. I told him 5pm. At 5:05 he called me to let me know he was waiting at my house - I was stuck in traffic and he said not a problem, he would wait for me, and he did. He gave me a fair price for the yard work and said he could get it done the next day. He did! He even texted me photos of the completed work. Very nice guy and I will be having him come in the future to maintain my yard. He had to take two truckloads of overgrowth out! My yard looks much better now!

I hired Vegas Landscaping to redo sprinklers, repair drip system, replace timer, resod dead grass, trim trees and shrubs and build a concrete walkway and slab for a barbecue. There is literally nothing that they can’t do at a great price. He nailed the sprinkler problem—broken pipe and clogged heads from entraining debris. He listens and doesn’t forget details. He’s onsite working and supervises well. He made the concrete guy redo an area that didn’t meet his standards. His solutions are practical and right on. Others were incorrect and suggested wrong solutions—replace solenoids—they all worked. Run another pipe to dry area—it was just clogged. They are honest and if there is a delay you get a text why and when he’ll be there. He completed his work in great time and can be trusted to do what he says. I can’t recommend him more highly. Pleasant, hardworking, competent!

The company was very thorough and honest. Gave me great advice on taking care of trees in the future. He could have made more money by trimming one of my trees that I had questions about, but was honest and told me to wait until next year on it. They cleaned up and hauled everything away and were very careful of my plants and flowers while trimming the trees.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to remove a tree stump?

Once you have a tree cut down, you’ll probably want to remove the tree stump as well. You may want the stump removed for aesthetics, the tree stump could be diseased, you might want to prevent regrowth, or you may find the roots are causing problems and need to be removed. Tree removal costs don’t always include the cost to grind out or dig out a tree stump after the tree has been felled and the trunk removed. The national average cost for stump removal ranges from $150 to $200. There are two main methods for dealing with tree stumps. In grinding, pros use a chipping machine to grind away the above-level tree stump until it sits just below the soil surface. Tree stump removal entails lifting the entire root ball of a tree out of the soil. Removing the stump will leave a hole in the ground and also take more time, labor and money than stump grinding. Here are some examples of average tree stump removal costs:

    • Stump grinding: $2-$4 per inch.
    • Tree stump removal: average of $60-$350.

The final price will depend on the stump’s size, condition, location and condition of the soil around it.

How much does it cost to have your lawn mowed?

Regular lawn maintenance can do wonders for your home’s curb appeal. Professional lawn care prices will vary based on the regional cost to do business and regional cost of labor, the size of your lawn, and any additional services you may desire such as edging or mulching. The national average for lawn mowing costs is $30-$50. Pros may charge an hourly rate, a flat rate or by the square foot (an acre contains 43,560 square feet). Square footage rates factor in the professional’s time, the use of their equipment, and the gas to operate the mower. Distance may also affect cost: If you live outside the company’s standard service range, you may pay an additional travel fee. Here are some examples of average prices for mowing and lawn maintenance:

    • Up to 8,000-square-foot property: $30 per week/$120 per month.
      • Bimonthly: $40 per service/$80 per month.
      • One time only: $45 per service.
        • Prices include mowing all turf grass areas; trimming grass away from fences, structures, trees, and lawn edges; and clearing or blowing all grass trimmings from driveways, sidewalks, curbs, etc.
    • Hourly rate: $25 per hour (including travel, equipment costs and labor).
    • Lot size:
      • Smaller lots in subdivisions: $35.
      • Half-acre lot: $50.
      • One-acre lot: $100.

How much does it cost to cut down a massive tree?

If you have to remove a big, beautiful tree from your property, you’ll definitely need an arborist. Cutting down a massive tree without the proper tools or training can lead to major property damage or injury. A huge tree may need to be removed if it is diseased or dying and poses a safety risk, has suffered a blow from a storm and isn’t safe, or is growing into your home, your home’s foundation, your septic system, or your power lines. Removal costs for such large trees will depend on the tree’s height, diameter, and relative safety and accessibility, as well as whether you also need the felled tree and stump removed. The bare minimum for removal of a tree over 75 or 80 feet would be $1,000. This may not include tree quartering and removal or stump grinding. Stump grinding ranges on average from $2 to $4 per inch of the stump’s diameter. There is no set price as each situation is unique, so it’s always best to have an arborist give you a quote and detail exactly which services are included in the price.

How much does it cost to trim a tree?

The national price range for tree trimming is $270-$450. Tree trimming is often done by a professional arborist who is trained to safely trim and prune trees for both the health of the tree and the safety of the residents and their property. Trying to do your own tree trimming is not advisable unless you have the proper know-how. Tree trimming companies may charge an hourly rate for their services. The hourly rate may be higher or lower for different trees to reflect the relative safety measures, skill, equipment or people power needed to handle the job. For this reason, most tree services provide free estimates.

One example of an hourly rate for professional tree trimming services is $150 per hour. Costs may be under $100 or could be higher than $300 per hour, depending on variables such as proximity to buildings, health of the tree, height and diameter of the tree, and type of tree trimming desired. Geography and regional cost of living and regional costs to do business will also play a role in your tree removal costs.

How much does it cost to cut a tree down?

When you’re ready to have a tree on your property come down, it’s time to call an arborist. The national average price range for tree-trimming costs is $270-$450. Tree removal costs can vary based on the height, diameter, location and health of the tree, and on whether you want to remove the stump. Height plays a major role in tree removal costs. Small trees, no more than 30 feet tall, are usually thinner in diameter and easier and safer for an arborist to manage. Removal of a small tree can cost anywhere from under $150 to over $450. Removal of medium-height trees, from 30 feet to 60 feet tall, could cost anywhere between $150 and $850 or more. Tall trees, typically 60 feet to 80 feet tall, may start at $500 or cost more than $1,000 to cut down. As the height and diameter increase, so does the cost.

Location is critical, too. Removing a tree in an open space is quicker and presents fewer obstacles than removing a tree that is growing flush to your house. Arborists can assess your tree and provide you with quotes based on the variables involved. For example, removing a medium-size hackberry tree that was growing too close to a home — the roots were damaging the home’s foundation — cost $1,500. This price included rope-down, house protection, tree quartering and stacking, and stump removal.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
