I am a singer songwriter who learned classical piano when I was younger and I was looking for a short term teacher to up my level in playing and composing. Mark and I spent three months working on different jazz progressions and soloing techniques, as well as analyzing theory so that I can use some of the techniques in my own songwriting. He is very personable and kind, making sure that I understood the concepts for each class, and really broke things down into strategies that are useful for me. My two boys have been with Pam now for 3 short months and I can see tremendous improvement in my older son's playing ability and interest. He had previously lost his enthusiasm for the piano but now he practices without being told and is playing better everyday. My younger son had never had lessons before and is quickly advancing through his books.
