How do I find someone to fix my sprinkler system?

You can find a sprinkler repair professional by conducting a little bit of online research. This gives you access to their ratings and customer reviews. Some customers will even submit photos of their sprinkler systems that were fixed by the pros. But before you hire a professional, contact them. Ask them questions about their expertise, tell them about your sprinkler problem and request free cost estimates.

How do I increase water pressure in my lawn sprinklers?

Figure out why your sprinkler has low water pressure and determine if you need to make any repairs. There could be an issue with the valve, a leak or the sprinkler heads may need cleaning. If the water pressure is low in your house as well (check your water pressure regulator), the problem may be with the municipal water supply.

Why won’t my sprinklers pop up?

Several problems can prevent sprinkler heads from popping up. For example, here are a few possible culprits:

  • The valve is partially closed.
  • There’s dirt, sand or debris between the sprinkler’s cap and riser.
  • There's low water pressure.
  • There are leaks in the water line.

Contact a pro to help you diagnose the problem and repair it.

Why is one sprinkler zone not working?

One sprinkler zone could be malfunctioning for several reasons, although the most obvious one — a closed valve — is often the culprit. Check to see if the main system valve is closed. It’s easy to forget to turn this back on after repairs. Other causes for failed sprinkler zones are electrical issues within the valve, timer, wiring or solenoid. A common reason is a bad connection that needs to be re-soldered.

Jose did a great job repairing our sprinkler system. He took the time to step us through the repair and made recommendation for the future. He also educated us on the rain bird timer system. We will definitely be using his services in the future...

It was a joy working with Alejandro. He was professional, thorough, and pleasant. He was always available by phone, text, or messaging within Thumbtack, and timely in scheduling services. Alejandro also explained why I did not really need an expensive sprinkler system repair that had been recommended by another company. I have already hired Select for a second job and they will certainly be my first call for any future work.

I hired Vegas Landscaping to redo sprinklers, repair drip system, replace timer, resod dead grass, trim trees and shrubs and build a concrete walkway and slab for a barbecue. There is literally nothing that they can’t do at a great price. He nailed the sprinkler problem—broken pipe and clogged heads from entraining debris. He listens and doesn’t forget details. He’s onsite working and supervises well. He made the concrete guy redo an area that didn’t meet his standards. His solutions are practical and right on. Others were incorrect and suggested wrong solutions—replace solenoids—they all worked. Run another pipe to dry area—it was just clogged. They are honest and if there is a delay you get a text why and when he’ll be there. He completed his work in great time and can be trusted to do what he says. I can’t recommend him more highly. Pleasant, hardworking, competent!
