I have a 3 year old Belgian Malinois (Dex) that has a great deal of energy but is very smart. I was having some obedience issues with him that I wanted to address in an official manner. I conducted a lot of research regarding dog trainers in the area. My goal was to find someone who possessed a great deal of expertise in training dogs, someone I could trust to get Dex on track with basic obedience and maybe teach him more advanced skills as well. My research led me to Off Leash K9. I read up on Willie Harrell, his vast experience with K9's and training, as well as the numerous positive reviews of his training programs. I contacted him and set Dex up for the two week in-house board and train program. Dex started April 1st with one of Mr. Harrell's trainers, Daniel Clark. I was updated via E-mail and videos during the course of his training as to his progress. I was very impressed with how quickly he advanced in his training. When his training period was complete, last Saturday, I met with Mr. Clark and he went over Dex's new skills, as well as the training collar, in detail. Mr. Clark told me Dex was very smart and learned all of the basic skills in a couple days so he worked with him on some more advanced skills for the remainder of the program. He asked me several times as we went along if I felt comfortable with, and understood, what he was telling me. He went above and beyond to ensure I understood the instruction, the proper use of the collar, and Dex's new capabilities. He was genuinely concerned with making sure I had everything down. Since Dex returned home, I've been working with him on his new skills to get him even more dialed in on some of the more advanced things he learned. Mr. Clark has checked up on us a few times already too since I got Dex back. I cannot express with enough emphasis how much the training program helped Dex, me, and my family. Prior to his training, Dex was always first to the door. He would do about 10 spins before I got there and would literally bash his face through the door on his way out and back in. Now he knows door manners...so he sits and waits until I give him the command before going out or coming in. He also knows sit, down, come, place, heel, touch, extended sit/down, come to heel and through. I'm so grateful to Off Leash K9, to Willie Harrell, and especially to Daniel Clark for training Dex and making him the accomplished and well-behaved dog he now is. I couldn't have done it without them. I highly recommend consideration of Off Leash K9 for your dog training needs. I certainly will look to them again in the future for any advanced training I wish to pursue with Dex. Thank you Off Leash K9!
My son suffered a TBI about 7 years ago. He recently got a rescue dog for a service/therapy dog. K911 has done a phenomenal job in training both the dog and my son. LOL. Kevin knows what he is talking about and he has patience. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Melissa is such an amazing trainer. She understands animals better than I've seen. ...and I grew up in a family with a AKC obedience/show GSD. So I knew what I wanted. We currently have an almost 2yr German shepherd who had social issues, obedience and manners issues. Melissa immediately detected what was wrong, what caused it and had results so quickly. She was able to get our shy, fear biting dog to play with dogs at the dog park in basically 1-trip! She's like hiring Ceasar Milan in Vegas! She taught our whole family how to work with our GSD AND our little Shih Tsu who has anxiety issues. Melissa and the kennels have SO much experience. She will develop a training schedule for your schedule and needs. I had been looking for a good dog trainer for 1.5yrs. I wanted AKC training. No "shock" collar training. Positive reinforcement and not just another person saying they can train a dog. We had gone to puppy classes at Pet Smart-save your money- if you want someone who KNOWS animals, Has a great reputation, Is knowledgable about AKC, showing, training, guard dog training..stop searching and call VonWeiss Kennels! Best dog/Animal trainer in Vegas area!!!! So glad we found her!
Tyler Mitchell helped me with Rocky (pitbull) with basic obedience . Rocky would pull during walks trying to attack small dogs during our walks .Tyler helped me understand that he's not trying to attack small dogs. He informed me that my small dog was the pack leader between them two. It took me a little longer because of my work hours . Rocky responded well to my corrections when I gave the at the correct times. He also made it clear it was my vibe during the walks. Once I stared posting videos Tyler would comment or email me ASAP about what I was doing wrong or what I was doing right. Tyler explained it very well . If Tyler was in New Jersey that would of been great. I was kinda shocked how well things with training all the way from Vegas . I really didn't think it would work .I saw videos of Tyler and his dogs and figured I might as well give at shot . Glad I did !!!! If Tyler Mitchell would travel like the guy from the tv show my cat from hell would be wonderful . Lol but I wouldn't mind paying more for his traveling fees because I'm confident that he will get the job done
Anniina uses an easy to understand method of dog training, breaking down behavioral concepts to apply to both dogs and humans - after all, we humans are the ones who are really in need of training! Anniina has years of experience and can assess all different types of situations within the first training session. More importantly, she delivers training with so much compassion for the families she works with: She makes herself available for follow-up questions and concerns and always uses encouragement and reinforcement for all involved. I highly recommend Anniina Jones to anyone in need of training for their furbabies.
Stacy is amazing with training your dog! He has trained several of my clients dogs in the past 4 months and each & every one of them "raved" to me about how satisfied they were. Linda, owner of Fluffy Puppy Pet Salon, Lake Worth, Fl
I've only had 1 appointment with Sit Means Sit so far, but I was impressed with the time the representative, Bobby, took to sit with me and go over my wants for my fur buddy. I look forward to the training sessions that are starting next week.
I called them to have a pet massage for our dog. Our older dog had just passed away and our Caesar, was so stressed. Susan did a wonderful job of working with him. For the first time in weeks, he was getting back to his prior fun self. Thanks, All American Girls
Very good working knowledges of dogs. It was not rushed he took his time and did not push my 6 month old Doberman puppy. While training he still let him be a puppy and figure things out. I was was pleased with our first meeting and the outcome. Would highly recommend Luis to anyone
Deb Manheim is my dog trainer of choice. She has worked with my dog since she was 10 weeks old, using positive reinforcement techniques that have made all the difference in the world. Deb understands dog behavior. Because of this, she develops multiple ways to train each individual dog that makes sense & is fun for the handler & dog. Deb provided me with outlines of each training session so I could review what I learned on my own, which I have found to be invaluable, even now when I am doing refresher training or training something new. I have been taught the foundations from Deb. Lastly, she is patient, non-judgemental & down to earth. After all, much of dog training is about "training" the owner/handler, so I appreciate her kindness & sense of humor.
my RESULTS !!
I will help you understand and show different methods in training dogs and grooming, and I will answer questions in this field.
I am your last resort before putting the dog down. I provide no guarantees, but I will put forth my best effort to help. I also do basic obedience work: no jumping, sit, down, stay, come and heel. Disclaimer: I prefer to work with large- /medium-sized dogs. I do not do AKC show work .

Provide basic obedience training i.e. sit, platz (lay down), leave it (works to keep them away from items, people, other dogs and food). Also have experience dealing with dogs with issues after being abused (dealt with food guarding, fear biting, etc.) Will work on socialization if an issue and building a dogs confidence. If you just keep your dog in the backyard as a yard ornament, do not contact me.
I offer in-home dog obedience and puppy training. I do daily dog walking and in-your-home daytime pet checks. I will improve your pet's life through proper training and care.
I have experience training dogs, exercising, walking and spending time visiting with animals. For example, I trained and exercised two mid-sized poodles. They were a challenge as one had a high level of fear of other dogs and the other constantly guarded the frightened dog. It took a good month or training to reduce the heightened fear response from hyper jumping and whimpering to walking quietly beside me. I care about the dogs I work with. I utilize a goal of compassionate cooperation between myself and the dog to achieve the goals of an enjoyable relationship.
